Thank you for sending me these balls to test. I felt the ball played nicely. Distance was good with low spin off the driver. Irons seemed to fly a little higher than normal ball Prov 1x, but stopped nicely from mid and short irons. Putting the ball felt very crisp which what I like to feel with a putter.

Hi David,
Firstly thank you and Titleist for sending me the balls - always a great privelage and honour to test the new version of the Pro V1x.
I've now played with the new balls for 3 weeks - 7 rounds and here are my first impressions:
Driving, irons, wedges - pretty similar to the current version, possibly slightly straighter and marginally longer but nothing too exagerated to shout about.
Putting - big difference here. The sound the ball makes was slightly 'muted' compared to the current version - much better indeed (although until I tried the new version I didn't find anything wrong with the current version!) The feel seemed to be better, slightly softer of the clubface but still rolled the same distance. Really great improvement.
I've also tried the current and new versions on trackman. Driver spin was slightly lower whilst wedges were slightly higher although no major differences - my 3 longest drives though were with the new ball!!
The cover lasts longer without sacrificing feel which is great and the ball stays 'whiter' for longer too - my only real gripe about Pro V's.
So in summary, great feedback (sound) and improved feel with the putter and a slight improvement with the driver and irons.
Guess what? The best ball in golf just got even better!
Thank you once again Team Titleist for letting me take part in the golf ball testing - it's an honour.

Used the test balls over a couple of rounds. They appear to me to be slightly harder than the ProV1s I use. I assume these are NXT prototypes. Durability was excellent and spin rates and stop on greens were good although the greens I was using recently were very soft. Would be useful to try this ball in dry, summer conditions. As the new ProV1 series showed, I think you've nailed the white appearance and durability again with this ball.

Really pleased to receive my sleeve or trial balls.
used them for 3 rounds now and found playing with them enjoyable. Off the tee, as long as ProV1. Good feel around the greens and solid feel off the putter. I'll use them if put on the market.

Firstly, thanks for the balls!
Played with them today and also gave one to my playing partner for his opinion too. I play with ProV1x and have done so for as many years as you have been making them. Here's a summary of our opinions:
Distance: in general found to be similar to ProV1x. I had to make no adjustments with yardages
Ability to shape: slightly easier than ProV1x
Penetration into wind: good
Spin on approach shots and chips: seemed to be slightly less than ProV1x (could be an issue on firm greens)
Feel on chip shots: excellent
Feel on putts: excellent
Durability: the ball looked like new after the round, despite two big thins! No scuff marks from wedges either. The cover on these balls is so different to anything i've tried before.
I would contemplate a switch to these balls - would just need a bit more testing on firmer conditions, than we have in the UK just now.

first time I've had a chance to try the prototype due to enforced lay off. played tha back 9 at formby GC this afternoon using the ball, It felt very reminiscent of the pro v1 x
will give them another go tomorrow, but they feel very firm on strike, nice to putt with I find them very similar to the previous version on the pro v1 x which I was never particularly enamoured with due to iron strikes feeling a bit clicky

Used the test balls today and felt hot off the face and stopped nicely. Hard to tell if going further than pro v1x in the wet conditions. Did mark quite easily though?

Many thanks to Titleist again for giving me the opportunity to test your latest golf ball. Sadly due to holidays and family commitments I have been unable to play until this weekend and test the ball but what a treat it was. I have played two rounds this weekend with the same ball. My game was not at its best at the start and I thinned a couple of wedges and had some shots which were not pure strikes. The poor strikes which had side spin gave a view of the amount of spin that could be imployed on the ball but the thin shots showed no damage to the ball.
Once my game hit form I had brilliant results, fantastic distance off the tee with incredible control with the irons and wedges around the green and a solid feel with the putter. On the second day of using the same ball I had my best round of golf I have played for sometime shooting three over par.
Could you please let me know when you are realising this ball on the market and so I can purchase a box and hopefully have the same results I have had during testing.
Should there be any other equipment you require testing please do not hesitate to contact.
Thanks again

Hi, Many thanks for the test balls you've sent to me. I have been using them over the last few weeks. I'm an 18 handicapper, so fairly average.
I've found these very consistent, even after a full round with one ball. A nice flight from the tee with Driver (Titleist), 4W and Irons. Just as i'd expect with my swing. The biggest difference is when the ball spins and grabs around the green. Using wedges I have found a great deal of backspin, more so than I ever have with a competitor ball.
If I may be cheeky, I am down to my last one! I could do with a few more, my scores will surely benefit!
Thanks again.

Received a sleeve of 3 test balls . Can't fault them in any way . Superb. Very very good to use . Did some short game practice with them and then played . Seemed long with the driver . Good spin with all short shots . Hit a full pitching wedge a groove or two too low and it still stopped nicely . Gave one ball to a single handicap friend which he used for 20 odd holes and in addition to agreeing with the above he also commented on their durability , still in good condition after all that play .

Hi,
I tested my new balls at St Andrews last week. I currently play Pro-V1x.
I found little noticeable difference to the performance - I still got the high, low spinning flight that I like. Yardages were pretty similar also.
However, I notice that the balls had a softer feel to the Pro-V1x, which I preferred. They also seemed to check more quickly on the greens. Overall, I was really impressed.
Chris.
