I like James' suggestion. I decided about a year ago when practicing chipping I would use what I play with...Titleist Pro V1. Went to the store and purchased some practice Pro V1's. I can really tell the difference in using these as opposed to the range balls.

Your short game is one of the most important elements in your game. Make certain you practice correctly!

The information could not be more accurate and relevant. Although it is well-known, not that many of us carry a shag bag with suitable used balls.

In my case, I have a Titleist shag bag full with used Titleist Tour Soft golf balls. This year, I am going to switch to ProV1 or ProV1X and I have a dilemma, should I get rid of my used balls and get used ProV1s or ProV1Xs?

I save my experienced Prov1s for chipping and bunker practice. They still have enough life in them to make a difference. Always have a shag bag in the car. I use the range balls on the range.
