Tested new prototype ball on New Years Eve day and the feel was tremendous! Was able to control the ball around the greens and especially out of the green side bunkers. The improvements are real! Keep it up Titleist! Look forward to using this ball in my future rounds.

Boo Hoo! I didn't get any to test this year. I'll keep playing them anyway...they are far and away the best ball on the market today.

    Abby-
I too play the AVX. Question: Is it better than the AVX for all the reasons you chose the AVX?
    Thanks- dd

63 year old 24 handicap before I tried the AVX.
FANTASTIC BALL, lowered my handicap by 6 strokes in 2018
great feel around the greens and straight off the tee
Loosing around 15 yards off the tee during the winter months?
Would love to try the tour soft as a winter cooler weather ball?

Looking forward to testing the 2019 Pro-V1's.It is hard to believe that Titleist can
improve the ball from last years model. Can't wait. :)))))

Still checking my mailbox for anything to try! I'm sure the new Pro V would go well with my new TS 3.
  9. Looking forward to getting the prototypes, have a great year playing Titleist.

I play pv1x’s. I can’t wait to get the new version. I took advantage of our club’ Titleist personalization deal this year and regretted it. This year’s prov1 x’s covers scared very easily. If the 2019 ball isn’t any better I’ll be changing balls/brands.

Abby - I've liked the AVX ball, especially the soft feel and how it checks up around the greens. So thanks for your perspective on how the new ball compares.

I've tested proto balls several times, it's fun - makes you become a bit more analytical rather than just go out and play. Hope I get a chance this time as well.

I am a little disappointed I didn't get these or the "current" generation to test. I think I had the previous 2 models for testing. :(
  13. Loved the prov1x proto ball sent to me to test. Our course was quite wet when testing so couldn't gauge ball reaction onto greens in hard summer conditions. Very similar to the previous model in feel chipping and putting but added some yards to my drives and iron shots even the mishit shots. I hit the ball quite high anyway but didn't notice any significant trajectory change from the previous x ball. Longer iron shots stopped well on greens. With shorter irons into green definitely helped ball stop/spin more. Can't wait to buy some when released.

Tried the prov1 proto on the putting green but felt too soft of the putter head compared with the prov1x and prefer the firmer feel of the x when chipping.
  14. Oh forgot to say many thx Team Titleist !
  15. I am a bit new to TT, but I joined to try and be the first to jump on some new designs and help provide some solid feedback. Perhaps I can do some engineering analysis :)
  16. 2019 delivers the consistent performance that I expect from the ProV1. I have noticed the feel is close to the old Tour Balata. Keep up the good work!

I agree with most, NEVER received the new balls to try? Why send this email out if you haven't sent them out yet.

I've been the recipient of Titleist prototype's in the past, but I have yet to receive the new one. As a side note, on January 11, 2019, I recorded my third hole-on-one since 1965, using a Titleist ball. The most recent was the ProV1x that floated high into the air, hit the green and rolled to the back pin and into the cup. !48 yards using a seven iron. I love Titleist golf balls!
  19. I play AP3 irons and yellow NXT tour soft balls. I heard thru the grapevine that Titleist is finally making a yellow Pro V1 and Pro V1X ball. Is this true and when will it arrive? #sleeplessinSyracuse

Have not received the prototypes. I have provided feedback in the past whenever I have received test products.
