  1. Tried the AVX ball today. Like the feel of the club face very soft. Found into be 10 yds further. Not sure I like it on short wedge shots, seemed to be longer. It would take some getting use too. The biggest issue I have is the price to high should be under $40. Until then will stay with Cally Chrome soft. Don't feel like paying $48 for a ball below PROv1

  2. If this ball is like the one I tested last year it will be awesome! With my swing speed,
107-110 mph, I was hitting it 285-290 yards with a good amount of roll in the fairways. Hitting into greens was a lot like a Pro v1. I hope they keep the price around $35-$40 a dozen or maybe offer as 2 dozen for $60-$70.
  3. For the first time today I tried the test ball, AVX yellow ball, and it is the greatest golf ball I have ever hit. I wish that you'll would hurry and put them on the market everywhere.

Played the avx on the 19 th of February in St George Utah. I was very impressed with the balls speed of my driver and very happy with the control off my irons . I putted for 16 birdies that day to bad it was mostly 20 feet away. They putt very well and true of the face great feel. I was able to work the ball both ways with minimal spin. At the end of the round I cleaned the one ball I used all round didn’t even pull the other two from the box, and was pleasantly surprised at how clean the cover was no nicks or scratches. This is a perfect match for me personally since I would switch from the prov1 to the prov1x often , don’t think I be switch much anymore
  5. Just played a round with the AVX Balls. My current Ball is the Pro-V1x. I'm have been playing golf for only two years, so not very experienced. What I noticed with the AVX is that there is little or no left or right spin on drives off the tee. My typical drive is about 250 yards with what my buddies tell me is a swing that is too hard or takes too much effort. The result is a right side spin that can turn into a slice. With the lower side spin there is more distance that is also straighter. In one round I found my drive swing was more relaxed which also added to straighten the drive. So with less effort the ball carried farther and straighter. I did not notice a difference with my wedge or putter. I'm sure because of my lack of experience. That's all I got. Thanks
  6. I found the AVX while I was on Vacation in Southern California. I thought it was a Pro V1. However when I hit it for the first time it exploded off the club face. I have gained 15 yards with my driver and a club with my irons. It has a soft feel around the greens. In short it is the best ball for my game. I am 55 years old and have lost some club head speed over the years. With the AVX I have I am getting distance again which in turn is giving me lower scores.

I am a 77 YO single digit handicap. I have played this ball for about a month and I like it very much. It is easily 1/2 club longer off the irons and marginally longer off the driver than the Pro V1x. It feels similar to the cally Chrome Soft. It has good spin, just short of the Pro V1x. It's been out there long enough for Titleist to know whether or not it will be kept in the line, and I think we should be told now of it's fate. I notice on ebay that sellers are price gouging by saying that the ball is no longer being made.
Come on, Titleisr, tell your faithful what the deal is with this ball going forward, or I, for one, will be trying the new version of the Chrome Soft.

Maybe its just a coincidence but I had my second hole-in-one on Feb 12 with an AVX. My first one was 20 years ago before the development of the ProV1. In other words, I played the ProV1 for nearly 17 years without one and then got several dozen of the AVX in Florida before a Hawaii trip and had the ace and nearly another in a period 5 days. Had to be the ball, not me.

I've been playing the AVX since December and really like it. I've now tried all the new balls for 2018 and this is my favorite. The Tour Soft is too soft for me. I don't know why but every shop around here has these balls. They were only supposed to be available in three warm weather states this winter. There currently is a shortage of the white but plenty of yellow. I understand they have stopped shipping until late March or April. Good thing I stocked up!

    1. The AVX ball has dozens and dozens stacked in TX pro shops, so they obviously are not limited to CA, AZ, and FL.
    2. The ball is non-remarkable. It is not really very soft. Certainly not against its competition. The Velocity and even the TruSoft are just as good.
    3. If you have to play an expensive Titleist, then use the ProV1.

I usually play a V1X, but I tried the AVX last Sunday and was very impressed. It seemed longer off the tee, much more penetrating flight like a V1, and just about as much stickiness into the greens. The ball seems to hold up better after a round; it still looks brand new. I’d definitely switch to this ball if it is priced at or below the V1X and V1. Keep up the great work, Titleist! #TeamTitleist
  12. I have been playing the AVX now for a couple of months. Very impressed with ball control, distance and most of all spin. Instead of stopping 10 feet from my pitch mark with Prov1, I am within 3 feet of my mark, if hit properly of course. The shallow dimple pattern allows for perfect flight. Putts and chips feel amazing. Great Job team!

Really like this ball. Have picked up 10 or so yards off tee. Balls seems to hold reasonably well on greens. Do not live in 3 states where balls are being sold.Believe these balls are marketed in Japan. Believe price for ball is too high for universal acceptance and shouldn’t be add or above Pro V1 and Vx prices.

I tried the new Titleist AVX this past week. I usually play Bridgestone 330rxs, or tps5. The AVX is about 10+ yds. longer that either of the other two. The ball has a softer feel and seems to roll out better. It performed better enough that my playing group all ask "what's the deal", you usually don't hit it that far. I like the choice of the two colors (really like the Yellow). This ball costs the same as a ProV1 which is a concern. My swing speed is in the low 90's; this ball seems ideal for me.

Tried the new AVX optic yellow yesterday. I typically play the X. I didn't experience the "soft" feel other players are talking about. In fact at times it felt/sound like a rock however I still got the distance.
  16. I tried these out and got at least 10 yards more on my drives then I did with other balls. Spin is pretty great too. I use these balls primarily now. They're definitely the best balls I've ever hit.
  17. Tried a sleeve during a golf trip to Naples FLA - paid $11.00 for a sleeve. Another course had them priced at $17.00 per sleeve. This ball goes FAR. I was consistently out driving my buddies, who are longer than me usually. My ball was 10 to 20 yards longer than them. Very soft feel off of every club in the bag.
  18. I got hold of a dozen AVX's and this will now be my ball. I usually play the PROV X and really like them but this AVX explodes off the tee! Nice soft feel off all clubs, checks nice but doesn't spin back like crazy. Great Ball.
  19. I just tried the AVX here at Poppie Ridge I normally play the NXT-s
I have a 75MPH driver speed and I got some very nice extra distance but the big difference I saw was around and on our slipper greens. I personly like ProV1 for its 50 and end controls but the putting on the AVX was good but being a 25 HC I would need to leave that to a better golfer to deside...

  20. I live in SC and play golf 4 times a month with NO practice. Sad now that I have retired. A friend gave me a sleeve. I have played 3 rounds with this ball and no blemishes. Seems more forgiving on missed shots...which I experience regularly. Seems to have a lower flight and more roll out than the prov1 and 1x. Would hope when released in SC they would be less than prov1 line. If I would buy them by the dozens.
