Really pleased with the test balls during all parts of the game. Felt very much like the feel of an NXT Tour ball, which I also like very much. A couple of bad shots did not harm the ball visibly although slightly scuffed after a bunker shot. I would very much like to play with these balls and hope Titleist will inform me of their ultimate designation.

Many thanks TT for the sleeve of balls. These arrived just prior to having an operation and so will save remaining balls for round post surgery and will review again in the Spring.
The ball I played with had good penetration, despite windy conditions, and flew straight and true. Whilst I am not a big hitter off the tee the ball did seem to fly a little further, however one round is hardly conclusive evidence.
Around the green and shots in from under 100yards the ball was soft to feel and responsive off the club, giving confidence to fly the ball up towards the flag.
The feel and sound off the putter was clear and the ball ran true.
At the end of the round the ball looked almost new and indicated good durability and retention of surface.
Overall this is a good ball and one that I feel confident using; given that at my level much of performance is a mental state this certainly is a game improver and handicap reducer.

Just tried test ball in windy conditions and I was pleased with the performance
Drives felt as good as my usual ball
Irons felt solid with good distance control
Putting felt firm off the putter face

Hi Hannah
Very good ball I was getting an additional 20-30 yards longer on my drives.
My short game with the ball was better and I felt more confident with my chipping around the green.
No matter if I was playing of the matts or the fairway this was a very good soft ball to play with and flew well into the face of the wind. Can you please let me now what is the name of the ball as I would continue to use them.

Thank you for the chance to try these balls.
Off the Tee they felt good. Good distance achieved. Any off centre shots were punished in windy conditions. Magnified the mistake.
Iron shots had a lot of feel as did chipping around the greens.
I was especially happy with the way they putted. Better that the ball I was comparing with. ( not Titleist ) Soft and easy to judge the distance. My best putting for a long time.

Hannah, I did not receive any balls from you. Lost in post???? Would have loved to give them a go though.

I played in fairly ugly weather but overall was very satisfied with the balls. I found the ball a joy to putt with. The performance off the irons was good, spin on the greens wasn't bad, and driver performance was good. The ball didn't feel as "soft" as the Competitor ball (duh!) off all my clubs, but it wasn't a deal breaker. Overall my impression was good. What I didn't like was the ink colour. I found it cheapened the look of the ball and I turned the ink facedown when teeing off. It's a small thing but these things matter to some people... I give it a 4/5.

Hi Hannah, I absolutely loved them. I played 4 rounds with them They had a great feel off the irons with a great trajectory, not to high, and perfect greenside control. they felt nice and soft and well and got very good distance off them. They were also very durable. I shot 2 consecutive rounds in the 80s with them which is tough for an 18 index like myself.
Thanks

Thought the ball felt a little heavy, but I don't know if that could be the winter conditions. Still carried a long way, par the first 3 holes with these balls including stroke index 1 and 2. With spin back on one of the par 3's. Over all I would buy this ball if the pricing was right.

Thank you for the sleeve of test balls, the weather hasn't been fantastic in England this winter, very wet and windy conditions. The balls feel great of the driver, improved distance and nice feel. Irons seem to fly a little higher than normal but very good feel. Typical tititleist quality. Around the greens I felt I had more spin than my usual NXT so took a little adjustment. Great outer case, didn't pick up much dirt and easy to clean. Thanks once again.

Up to Titleist's usual high standards - good feel, good distance, lovely flight and all round an A1 ball. I'm well pleased with it. I'm 73 on Christmas Day and with the help of Titleist balls hope to keep my 8 (7.9) handicap. Perhaps even get back down to a decent handicap. Many thanks for the balls. I shall certainly continue to use Titleist balls!

Hi,
Test Ball Feedback.
Being a 21 handicapper, I used ball to chip and putt at first, very good roll on puts. no three puts on wet course means good roll off the putter. Good flight off Irons I also had good distance on four and five irons with straight flight.
After not loosing ball I used from tee with three wood and driver, again straight and consistent flight. low spin and good distance.
Comparing them to the Titleist 1 that I use I would be happy to put these in my bag. No lost ball and great rounds on wet windy course.
First try yesterday but not a true test as we're playing off fairway mats at the moment due to the ground being so wet. Off the tee, really nice, goes long and straight and fires off the club face, and a nice sound and contact off the putter face. Part way round I switched to a pro v1x and the difference was sizeable. Much more spin from the pro V, but to be dxpected.
Playing a much drier course tomorrow so will have a better go, with the two remaining balls. (Yep, I lost one)

i didn't get any maybe next time
Played a full 18 holes with the same ball today. Good distance and flight off the tee, but may be a tad hard for me, particularly around the greens. Feels ok off the putter face
the ball lasts well though, hardly any marks or scuffs
if I had to guess, I'm thinking NXT or Velocity as I don't think it's as soft as an NXT tour
tim wnottingham,
Hi Thanks for the golf balls i found these as good as the PTS solos which i use in the winter but not as soft as the PRO V1x i use in the summer Is it very good all round ball though which i come to expect from Titleist

Thanks for letting me be part of the ball testing group.
i found the balls quite hard on the driver face but they flew very straight and the distance was generally a few yards further than my usual ball, Velocity, which I usually use in winter. Over a few rounds I used my 3 wood off the tee several times to see if I could shape the ball. I found that this was quite easy although the sideways movement was less than I had achieved previously.
Long iron shots flew long and fairly straight and short irons would stop within a few feet of landing on our (quite) wet greens. I did hit a 9iron off a winter tee mat and it 'backed up' about 4 yards so obviously it is possible to generate quite a lot of rotation on the ball given favourable conditions.
Around the greens I found them quite hard in the face although distance on 'bump and run' shots was quite easy to control. Similarly, I found the ball quite hard on the putter club face but consistent distance was easily achieved.
The cover was very scuff resistant and looked like new after 18 holes suggesting that they would last for several rounds.
Hope this review helps.

The weather has been against me but I went out today and tested the ball in damp and windy conditions. Off the tee the ball had a penetrating flight against the wind with less side spin. Hard to tell about distance but it seemed a few yards longer than an NXT. The ball also grabbed the green when chipping. I thought the ball seemed to bounce off the face of the putter but that could be down to my stroke. Overall I was impressed with the feel and quality of the ball and would be happy to use it if it goes into production.
Merry Christmas

Played Title 'prototype ' ball today. Windy day today 》30 mph, ball flight was strong, penetrative through the breeze. Short game, excellent feel, soft and 'tacky' but still solid enough to give confidence. Again putting experience was good, slid softness.
Thanks Titleist.
John KCollinstown,
Only got to try them today due to the bad weather over the past few weeks,
From the tee with driver they felt solid with good distance, maybe a little further than normal,
The strike with irons felt very good, they held their line well in the wind, and they seemed to fly a little lower than my normal ball.
I did find them hard to stop, even on very receptive greens after the recent rain.
What I found most impressive was how they felt off the putter pace , held more putts than normal with them.
Finally they didn't scuff or mark easily .
All in all I enjoyed testing them.
Martin MWoking,
Hi Hannah, thanks for the balls it has taken a while for me to get out and plat with them. Used one today on 9 holes and shot 6 pars 1 double and a single bogey. Had three makeable birdie puts which I missed. So 4 over par after 9 with a 13 handicap so very happy (unlike my opponents!)
In terms of the ball my considered impressions are:
1. Excellent feel off the club face
2. Goes miles ..seem to be hitting my normal summer distance in 16 degrees centigrade, driving probably 5-10 yards further than I would anticipate.
3. Very durable .. 9 holes still like new
4. Putts very nicely and chipping has a nice feel.
All in all would be delighted to play with this ball. I will do some more testing when I can hitting your test ball against my normal nxt tour and let you know how I get on.. may not be for a few weeks.
Cheers
Martin

Really liked the test ball, thought it came off the club really well. The bit I really liked was how soft it felt around the green. Just gave a great feeling when chipping. I would but this ball if I new what it was
