With 4 inches of snow on the ground here in Maryland.. I lift weights in my garage and work on mobility exercises. Putting work on my living room rug.

Reminiscing about playing Kapalua, Pinehurst, and watching The Masters in person for the first time in 2024.

Ready to shed this winter hibernation weight and get ready for 2025 golf with the best equipment in golf! #TeamTitleist

With winter in full swing here, after the holidays is the perfect time to work on fitness, mobility, and an occasional visit to an indoor range to keep swing intact. Also have an indoor practice putting aide that keeps that part of my game in shape.
  4. It has been unusually cold here in Winston-Salem, NC, and it looks like that will continue for a couple of weeks. Our course has recently reopened after a renovation, and they have closed during the coldest weather. I’m trying to bundle up, and go for walks, and swing the Orange Whip in the driveway. I just hope I don’t drive my wife nuts during my down time.

  6. I ended up building a simulator in my garage (can still park in it). Absolutely love being able to play a quick 18 with minimal setup time. Maybe see if there are any simulators near you.
  7. Looking at maybe some lessons to be ready for the season, but the simulator is the best we got up here in Minnesota!
  8. Try to do weight training and band resistance exercises to keep muscles in shape

Feeling depressed not being able to get on the course. To stay engaged joined the winter golf league with buddies at Top Golf. Keeps the competitive spirit flowing and is good practice for the irons. Allows you to stay engaged with the swing and puts you in some pressure situations. Longing for warm days ahead!

I try to get away from golf late in the year otherwise i wont miss it.
A bunch of us joined a winter sim league, 13 weeks starts this week. They have a entire playoff situation and all. So we get into that.
  12. I'm hoping to get to the local indoor simulators with my son to hit some balls and have fun.

The last 3 years I invested time with sim and dome swing reps. This year I committed to play above 55 in the Midwest. Luckily we hit that temp for 5 days and I held my commitments. Also put a Vegas trip on the books for March. The only goal left is to get a pack of Pro V RCT balls or move to Florida.
  14. I have a year membership at my local PGA Tour Superstore to practice when I want. You can even play simulated rounds to help keep you sharp with your distances. I know it isn't exactly the same as outside but your swing will still be there when you can get out to play again.

Besides living in SoCal and hitting the range or occasional round, now is the time for speed training with Stack and back on the fitness track. I played a lot of golf last summer/fall and noticed my speed decrease and level of energy not hold up.
Gonna try and change that for this year and more importantly get ready for San Diego events.
    Enjoy the journey!
  19. Still playing except when it's in the forty's!

I live in the UK so the weather is rubbish in winter. Thankfully my local club has a sim room with a Trackman launch monitor which members can hire for £10 an hour. Been using it twice a week. It is great to keep my swing in shape and also useful to make sure my gappings are consistent
