I have worn footjoy for an long time and always have had great comfort but lately I have not found that comfort with the newer ones Any thoughts

I have found that FootJoy is the ONLY shoe for me as a serious golfer. Stability, Performance, Comfort all are present in every FJ shoe I own (I probably have 15 pair that I rotate). The key thing to keep in mind is fitting a shoe for YOUR type of play. For instance, if you are older or have a slower swing speed a "Mobile" shoe will probably be most appropriate. Mobile Shoes by FJ include HyperFlex, Freestyle, DNA Helix to name a few, help a golfer increase their swing speed by allowing them to transition from the backswing through impact. I have seen this proven with multiple golfers on trackman and swing mats at least once with FJ technicians and 10+amateur golfers. The other type of shoe is "Structured" which provide the highest level of stability and include models such as ICON, Tour S, etc... These type of shoes provide the golfer that already is very mobile a sense of more balance during the swing. Overall, whatever your type it is important to understand the difference.

Now comes the second part of the decision on which type of shoe. Do you plan to walk alot and need more cushion or do you ride on a cart frequently and want a more traditional looking shoe? If you need more cushion shoes like Freestyle and DNA Helix are tough to beat...the new Tour S is also a great cushion shoe. If you need more traditional looks then ICONS are a great option.

Ok, so now you have it. The two major areas one needs to consider to make the RIGHT choice on which type of shoe to wear for the best performance. If you have any questions, post them here or PM me.

FootJoy all day. I love the Icons and the DNAs, but the Icon will always be my go to. I know a lot of guys who rock the ProSL as well.

Like the others, I'm an FJ guy. Mostly DNAs but also Hyperflex. Holding out for the Tour S to come to the MyJoys program so I can get them in my size.

    Lethbridge,

FJ's period. Three pair of Icons, pair of Pro SL, two pair of first generations DNA's both need to be replaced a lot of miles on them and a pair of HyperFlex. I am replacing the DNAs with Pro SL. Love them like walking on air.

Footjoy since I started playing golf in 1985. They got me thru planters fasciitis. Love the Pro/SLs and DryJoy Tours. Love the solid foundation and comfort. Also have a pair of custom MyJoy Icon Bicycle toes. I can order my 12W in any of these three styles, take them out of the box and play 18 with no worries. I can honestly say I have had a pair of Adidas, swoosh, and cally and they cannot hold a candle to FootJoy. The other brands just do not hold up and provide the comfort level I expect in a golf shoe. Footjoy is the only brand I trust. Think I have around 20 pairs in my man cave, not counting my club casuals/professionals.

Footjoy Pro S/L for me. I am done with spikes, pain in the butt to change and added cost. Pro S/L is fantastic, comfortable right out of the box, look very classy, and really grip the ground.

I would really like to say FJ but honestly my dryjoys and my SL's have been relegated to the golf shelf after trying a pair of the Skechers Go Golf spikeless shoes. They are waterproof and very comfortable. Sometimes FJ's are just a little too narrow for me which is odd since I have a narrow foot.

I was the same, the Skechers were by far the most comfy. Straight out the box, straight on the course and they were great, even better now ive had them a few months. So So comfy

I used to be a FootJoy Classic guy when they offered a "Rex" last decades ago. I continued to wear FootJoys for ever even though they never fit my foot properly and I carry my bag so conform is critical. I currently wear Ecco Biom Golf Hybrids. They are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. They are like custom made for my feet. If there are any shoe experts out there who can identify a FootJoy model that comes close, let me know. I feel guilty wearing a non-Titleist shoe.

FJ contour fit as it the only shoe that fits. But it is the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn.
  14. FJ all day! Nothing like them!

Only Foot Joy here. I alternate between 3 pairs depending on the ground service at the course I am play. Wet, Dry or nicely manicured.

Footjoy Sport LTs are my main shoe right now, but I also have a couple pairs of Adidas Tech Response shoes for especially hot/dry days. At under $50, those were extremely good value for money and a pretty good shoe overall, but Footjoy shoes are still my favorite. Will probably look for some FJ Freestyles or Hyperflex shoes this holiday season if I can find a good deal, especially on previous season styles.

What would you expect. This is a Titleist community. FJ number one brand in shoes. It's a family tradition and because they really do fit well and the customer service is second to none. My mother raised me to wear nothing but good fitting shoes and she was never wrong. With respect to you choice. =)

Im just as much of a Titleist fan as you, infact im a member of the St Ives Course in Cambridgeshire, Home to The National Titleist Centre, recently just upgraded to the 718 AP1's Graphite stiff, jumbo grips etc, I then got the new Deluxe Stadry Cartbag to match from the club shop. Im fully aware of the this being a Titleist Community page funny enough. Its probably got a lot to do with me loving their products and the amazing service we get at our club from Titleist. Im always in there picking their brains and the Titleist Guys are always amazing and so helpful. I dont even have to have a fitting appointment or anything as its part of our Club Driving Range. I also drive past The Titleist/FJ/Acushnet Head offices/factory on the way home every time and have even popped in there and they were very helpful. Whats wrong with me saying the Skechers are super comfy. I was all up for getting some FJ to be fair but Skechers were more comfy especially as im a walking golfer. I use FJ gloves and have several, I love their socks and have loads but just preferred a different brand in shoes. Im not affraid to say so just incase me saying it doesnt get me a free pair in the post or something like that when Titleist send out freebies to random members. You never know I might get a free pair sent to try and sway me lol

Nothing but FJ for me. I will admit, I'm more of a traditionalist. DryJoy Tour and Icons seem to be my go to although I recently picked up a pair of Pro S/L and love them. The other Athletic styles and my feet just don't get along.

Currently have a few pairs of the original DNA's and a pair of the Tour S. Both styles are great and very comfortable. I walk nearly every round I play and have had no issues right out of the box.

My alltime favorites were the old Classics with the leather soles. They took a round or two to break in but after that they were wonderful.

Always been Footjoy! I cant remember owning a pair of shoes from a different manufacturer!
Big fan of the Classics, they are in a league of their own, I still have a few pairs which I wear occasionally, had to reluctantly change to Icons when they ceased the Classic's production, the new Pro/SLs are a very comfortable summer shoe, not sure I'd wear them through the UK winter though!

Adidas Tour Boost 360. I have 4 pairs that I alternate each round.
I find that they are comfortable for me right out of the box, and there is no breaking in period.
