  1. Weight. That's why I don't carry 2 dozen balls, umbrella on a sunny day, alignment stick that I can't use on the course or a month of old hole location sheets. It is also important that the stand open freely.

Solid stand mechanism is most important to me followed by the top cuff/club management. I usually find a way to make the pockets work for me. One detail most bags neglect is how to store the umbrella. The loop/cord style on most stand bags tends to be rinky-dink and the umbrella tends to slip out when you get the bag in and out of the trunk. The best ones i have seen tend to be on staff size bags where the umbrella has its own sleeve. The Titleist mid-sized staff bag is an awesome example of how the umbrella should be stored.

Weight, with the up and down hills here in the mountains.

Keeping the irons organized and easily accessible is key, and I like seeing them in-order, displayed on each shot choice. That's why you have a stand bag walking.

I'd like to see it translate better when throwing it on a cart, that they would all face out.

You've made some good bags over the years, and I thank you for the memories. ML

    Hi Mike,

I voted for weight, but it's a close call between almost all of the categories. We walk three days a week, and I can adapt to different dividers....I really don't need a spot for every club....but stand, weight, and a pocket that keeps my beer cold.....I can't really walk without those....!!

I liked the 7-way dividers. Organized but not small openings. Balance and how it sits against my back are deal breakers. Must have an insulated pocket.

Top cuff, followed by the Stand, I have two Titleist bags the Carry being my favorite and most used ( keeps me from carrying to much ) I can just grab the bag and walk some or all the holes; works for me on those days when its cart path only. Im 73 and caddie every other year in The Spirit Int'l at Whispering Pines GC and love to see my golfer come out with the Carry Bag.

I have the same bag as Chuck Z. Glad I saved it as I tried the single strap caddie bag and did not like it. I don't have any over size grips and the clubs jamed up. The three dividers were advertised as fully boxed, but the club shafts slid into the adjoining compartment. The valuables and water bottle compartment were too small. The large water bottle compartment on Chuck Z's bag has room for snacks. Oh, by the way I converted it to a single strap. If Titleist can bring that bag back it will be a huge seller!

Got to be weight. To heavy- tire out. To light- No such thing. Light bag= ghreat rounds. Really needs single strap (old school).

I don't use a "stand bag any more, but when I did, the cuff/dividers were most important, with the stand itself second. I hated a flimsy stand that allowed the bag to topple over.

Weight, because every round I play I walk and I can't stand to carry a heavy bag. It's such a disadvantage.

The way strap slips on and distributes the weight is critical.

Weight is most important to me but don't want to sacrifice important functional features like dividers, at least four slots and a reasonable number of pockets and beverage spot.
  16. At 69 years old I only carry my clubs when on a trip in our Mustang. Lighter is better!
  17. In SW FL the vast majority of courses require you to take a cart. Unfortunately during our 5-6 month rainy season it is not unusual to be limited to cart path only. On those days I use a stand bag instead of a cart bag. I like to have all my clubs with me when I get to the ball because you don't know (till you get there) what club you'll need. For me, a stand bag is not about carrying drinks, clothing, and other extras (that's what the cart is for), but a light way to carry my clubs. So, weight is my #1 issue.

My '15 stand bag is a first. I've always had cart bags. It's taken a bit of getting used to, with legs occasionally popping out at the wrong time, but I've grown to love my Titleist stander. By far the greatest feature for me is the 14-way divider. Caring for my clubs contributes to my confidence in them. Maybe it's just me, but confidence in my clubs is pretty crucial.

number 1 is weight, then top cuff. If a bag is light, you don't get tired at the end of a round.
  20. Stand bags are for golfers that still walk/carry not riding in a cart. So comfort and weight are what is important when carring
