No, I want to fly under the radar, new irons and a new bag is hard to keep away from the wife's prying eyes.

It just so happens that I buy a new bag a couple of weeks before I get new irons. It has happened with my last 2 sets of irons.

I actually got new AP1's and then got a new bag the following year

Usually, I buy a new bag when my current bag is showing signs of wear.  A Titelist Stand Bag lasts me 4 or 5 seasons playing 40-50 rounds per season.

What's a man to do, I enjoy new golf stuff and I need a new bag, but as much as I like the styling of the stand bags the four way tops that I like are getting heavier than I want to carry. After my sixtieth I wanna cut back the weight I tote. The three way tops tend to bind clubs when replacing or removing them. I haven't used a png bag for some time but I think I'll give them a look.

I've had 3 sets of irons since 1996, T-Zoid Pro's ('96), Diablo Edge's ('11) and AP1's ('15).  The 1st set and the last set, both got a new bag to go along.

I do not buy a new bag when I buy new irons. But I really wish that you guys would make an an almost all white bag , especially in the one strap {caddy} model. 95% white with black or navy trim would make it easier for head covers to match. It's that old "look good , play good" thing.

No I don't When you find a bag that works - the bag can carry what you need whether riding or walking - why change it. Current bag is 2000 vintage; a little worn but quite useful \ Also, as stated earlier, a new bag 'stands out' - i can hide new irons or hybrids or woods!!

The two have not lined up in the past but this coming spring may be different.

This past year when I purchased my new clubs I did purchased a new bag. However, I did not purchase the bag until several months later. Normally I would not have a preference. All depends on how my current bag is holding up.
  13. Some people have the notion that everything has to match. What about those people that have mix matched set of clubs by choice or not. Are they going against the nuance of choosing one brand over the other. I don't think so. Does it look cool and would it be nice to do that (yes), but not necessary.

This year it will.  my irons were 14 years old and my bag is about the same age and starting to crack only the bottom

Generally I use a Motocaddy bag, so I don't need to worry about matching up brands, but I did change from a cally carry bag to  a titleist for the winter, so it matched my woods

Some of us need to pick and choose our battles. New clubs every 2 years sometimes supercedes a new bag. With that said, I have 5 bags already. Great looking bag Mike!

I recently bought a bad after deciding to hold onto my irons for another year or two.  When I buy new irons in the next two years, I hope that my bag  is still good and holding up!

No, replace golf bag when current one is worn out.

It all depends. I don't switch irons all that much, so when I do, my bag is typically at least 4+ years old. A Titleist rep gave me a staff bag upon graduating college when I used to work at a golf shop and pursued a career in golf, in the 10 years since, I am on my 2nd bag, and 2nd set of irons. Titleist makes it very tempting because every time they release new products they are so great looking and better functionally.

as i explained to my wife when i recently updated, you can't have shiny new clubs in an old bag. They need a nice new home as well.
