Titleist will soon begin testing and seeding a new line of metal woods called 910 on the US PGA Tour, followed by the worldwide professional tours. This is an important part of our go-to-market blueprint and it calls for getting performance validation from the world's best players before we launch any product to you.

Some of you may have seen images of prototype 910 Titleist drivers on various industry blogs and websites. These images came from the USGA approved driver database as the first step in our performance validation process which is to submit the products for USGA and R&A approval.

As loyal members of Team Titleist and dedicated fans of the Titleist brand, we are committed to providing you first-hand "inside the Tour Van" information and going forward, you will be able to see more and read more about 910 on TEAM TITLEIST. We look forward to sharing our exciting new product introductions and success stories with the entire Team Titleist community.

Question: Does the 910D3 prototype have a deeper face than the 909D3?

Add me to the "field test list"! I would love to ditch my Nike driver and return to the wonderful world of Titleist. But I am about to lose my job (end of the contract), so new equipment is out.

If you need any 14 year old's to test them out to see how they perform with younger, smaller players I would be glad to. Right now I have Titleist thru the bag, from my 909D3 to my Ap2's, Vokeys, Scotty Cameron, Prov 1's and Footjoys.

    Thank you

If you need anyone to test the new drivers with X flex shaft, I'd be happy to help. Are the new drivers going to have a quick connect shaft system similar to the R9?

Well, this will be very timely.  I will be looking to replace my three wood in the not too distant future.  My current one is still getting the job done, so I have some time.  Still, I am looking forward to seeing the 910 clubs.

the 910's are amazing, all black looks quite new and modern, and feels good at impact.

but I am wondering why titleist has gone with the black looks like all the other companies?

Will the new drivers still be in the $300 dollar price range, or back up to $400?

This may seem menial and unimportant but I would just like to mention how much I love the 909 Driver head covers.  Does anyone know if you will be using a similar design for the 910?  I've heard people complain about the magnets, but for me it's the most functional headcover I've ever used.  I can take it off and put it back on in a fraction of the time it took me to use the old sock headcovers.  Anyway, this is just my two cents and I hope a similar design is used.

I don't think its menial at all.  I like the 909 headcovers too.  But, I can say that each year the headcovers have gotten better.  From the 905R to the 907 series to the 909.  There has been an improvement with each driver.  That being said, I really like the 909 covers the best.

As much as I like the ()( series headcovers, for those of us that still carry our bags they are pretty heavy compared to the previous knit ones.

  23. Field testing on the Tours is obviously a great way to come out with the absolute best product(s).

Perhaps Titleist should consider conducting "field test" with us Team Titleist members. It'd definitely get everyone talking on a first hand "I tried it" basis. Which gets their friends talking, their friends talking and before you know it, EVERYONE wants a Titleist driver/clubs! The old saying is a wise one, "It takes money to make money".

Now, no matter what, I'm ALWAYS going to play with Titleist equipment! I'm very anxious to see what they have in store for us! I'm like a little kid waiting for Christmas.

What is the plan for 910 fairway metals?  Will they be offered in lofts higher than 19 degrees?

  25. Jeff F

I absolutely love my D2!  I can't wait to see if you can make improvements. My suggestion would be a stiffer stiff shaft with less near-head flex to improve workability!.

I haven't seen a launch date yet but. I'd say it take couple more months before they do launch them. Hopefully they will be well worth the wait! :D

can't wait til they come out, that's when I'll be buying me a new 3wood woo!!

I just saw the pictures of the 910 clubs.  I like the look of the black with a touch of "chrome".  I'm hoping that what looks like adjustable clubs is just part of the fitting sets. Please don't tell me Titleist has succumbed and created adjustable clubs.  Titleist are players clubs and should stay that way.

Can someone explain how the interchangeable shaft system will work on the new 910 series?

  34. Chris L

    Chris L

if it is interchangeable shaft system it'll be similar to the callaway iMix.

then again I doubt titleist will bring out interchangeable metals think the photos seen were test clubs.

  35. Michael W

I'm hoping they're test clubs.  If Titleist decides to make game improvement clubs they need to make it secondary to their players clubs they are known for.

I'm a small head player so if you are looking for a feild test for how this will affect average golfers I will be willing to help with the Prototype 910 D3. And a question, when will these prototypes not be prototypes anymore? When will they be mass produced for everybody else?

  38. Chris L

    Chris L
    Norcross, GA

they first go through inspection and passed, now it'll be tested by the pros, top amateurs etc....

after that they will be released and produced for the public.
