  1. Sorry i'm so late to the game here. my white box was delivered to my old house and took an eternity to get forwarded to my new place. In any event, the new pro V1x is awesome. I bought a box of pro V1's to compare data and actually think i prefer the V1 over the V1x this year. I switched to the Tsi3 this year to add spin and the V1x was giving me a bit too much off the driver.

What surprised me the most about these balls was their durability. I ripped one off a cart path and played it for the rest of the round. I hit a bunch of wedges into greens and the ball made it 16 holes before going into the shag bag. While this may not seem like much to most folks, I have a tendency to vaporize golf balls with full wedge shots. In tournament play, i generally have to switch to a new ball after 1-2 full wedge shots. I'm super encouraged, and so is my bank account, about the durability of the new balls.

On another note, the new V1 was awesome in the wind. It flew heavy, and that's exactly what i like to see. I hit 3 iron dead into a 15 mph wind from 250, and i was on the front fringe. I saw the same type of performance on flighted wedge shots as well.

March 15th can't get here soon enough. A large "loyalty rewarded" order is coming in hot! Hopefully, the factory is firing on all cylinders now!

Thanks Team Titleist for the opportunity to try these balls early. Apologies for the delayed review!

After about 15-16 rounds under my belt with the 2021 Pro V1, this weekend I played a round with the 2019 Pro V1x. Just wanted to make sure I was comfortable switching before I place this year's Loyalty order. There was a gusty breeze and by the end of the round I was wishing I'd brought along one of the new balls. In just two short months I've gotten used to how the new Pro V1 handles a stiff breeze.

There's something kind of fun about the higher, soaring flight of Pro V1x but when the wind picks up give me that boring "heavy" (as you say) ball flight.
  3. Had my own little surprise a couple weeks ago, Absolutely cannot wait! Just need this snow to go away so I can get out there and try! Thank you Titleist!

Took off the afternoon to chase some new ProV-1s around the course. Waited until the 6th hole as the rust was worn off from the winter. Stuck it within 8ft of the hole and only rolled another 6ft. A mulligan birdie putt dropped in! Hope everyone is enjoying the new season.

Finally had the opportunity to get out and play the new X. Great ball, long off the driver, soft off the wedge. What a great combination.
  6. Thanks Titleist for the sleeve of new ProV1's to test! So far I have been able to truly test just two of these in normal conditions (not cold and sloppy wet).

The ball flight seems slightly higher and the spin is as good as always, maybe slightly better on the greens when hit with wedges/lofted clubs. I normally play the Left Dash ProV1's. These were similar, but I believe that the Left Dash still flies a shade higher.

I appreciate the opportunity and will wait to test the final ball after the weather breaks and we have some hotter, more humid weather here in North Carolina. Thanks again for the chance to give these a ride!

  7. I live in Washington, DC and this week the weather was great with temps unseasonably high in the 70’s. So I decided to tee up one of three Pro V1x “white box” test balls I received earlier this year. I’ll be brief in my review by saying I thought the ball was great. Off the tee with driver I’d say about 5 yards longer on average, on my fairway 4 wood, 3 hybrid and mid to long irons the ball had a piercing mid high trajectory. With shorter irons and wedges the ball felt good and compressed well off the face but not too soft, just right. Off the putter, the ball rolled well and feel was neither too firm or too soft. Only had one three putt.

Bottom line, I’d give the new Pro V1x an A+/-. Why the minus? Only because I clipped a few 56 and 60 degree wedges cleanly, off tight lies and they didn’t one hop and stop. Now, this may not be the Pro V1x’s fault as it’s early March and the turf on our mid-Atlantic winter greens is still hard and dormant. Buy a sleeve or a dozen and see for yourself, you won’t be disappointed. Full disclosure: I’m 69 years old, 9.6 handicap index.

Thanks again Titleist for allowing me to test and review the new Pro V1x.
  8. Also, I feel very fortunate to receive the white box. Finally had an opportunity to play them yesterday. First on the practice green before playing the front nine. Putting with the white box balls along with my yellow X balls, I found the white box balls to roll very nicely, coming off the putter face with a nice feel and sound.

On to the course. Response off the driver and irons was very good. "Hmmmm....I've never hit a gap wedge into this green before." Distance control was excellent with irons. They responded very nicely into the greens giving me some nice looks for an opportunity to score well.

My only regret with these balls is I had bought the last generation with the buy 3 get 4 promotion. Still have 2 1/2 boxes left. Sigh..........

Nothing less than I expected from Titleist with the new ProV1. Same reliable ball as the previous model with an upgrade. Great spin around the greens. Cover is the most durable yet. LONG. My favorite part of this ball is the softer feel. Some how they did this without sacrificing any of its other great traits. The only problem I see with this ball is that I still have 5 dozen of the previous model and don't want to play them anymore. This ball is great and exceeds all my expectations. Thankful to have been asked to give these balls a test drive. Thank you #Team Titleist

Thanks Titleist! I received a sleeve of PROV1 test balls in the white box and was excited to put them to the test. However, it snowed and was unplayable for 2 weekends... but then, I had my annual Myrtle Beach Golf Trip upcoming and got the opportunity to play the new ball. I was pleased with the sound and feel of this ball and it added yardage off the tee, about 10-20 yds. The spin was manageable as well, and around the greens it performed very well. I liked the ball so much, I went to PGA Superstore and bought a dozen (Play #66) and I can't wait to try the PROV1X version this spring. I love the softer ball but I also like the higher trajectory of the "X" version.

So the day after my white box came, it snowed. A lot. Two plus months later, our club reopened with an event today and I was only too happy to put the new Pro V1s into play.

It was mid 40s, 20 mph winds with gusts that bent flagsticks nearly 90 degrees. The ball performed like a champ. When solidly struck, the ball cut through the wind. It flew in 40 degrees as far as previous models did in warmer weather, and still stopped on a dime.

I preferred the previous alignment lines, but love the ball and look forward to a season of lower scores. Today's round broke 80 and beat the 85% handicap used in the outing. Sold.

Thanks Team Titleist for such a fun product roll out.
  12. Had the chance to play the new Pro V1x for the last couple rounds. I was most impressed with their durability - given I was able to get about 3 rounds on a single ball. I felt like off the tee it would really go when I connected, longer than the older V1x and certainly didnt balloon as much on miss hits. I still have two left and need to take some time around the greens to compare directly to the older 1x but so far, very satisfied!

I finally had a chance to play the new Pro V1 on a trip to Port St. Lucie a couple of weeks ago. Two of the days we played it was very windy and the new Pro V1 performed great, especially when well struck and into the wind. Around the greens, the soft feel and spin was noticeable and overall this generation seems longer than the last.

As soon as I returned I placed an order with my Club for 12 dozen, 4 each for myself and my two sons!

Love the new Pro V1 l! I really liked the performance around the green. The spin on it made even a miss hit wedge stay on the green. The performance tee to green was fantastic! Can’t wait to play more golf with this ball.

  15. I finally got out to test my 2021 ProV1 white box testing sleeve and they are absolutely phenomenal. Feel is incredible and performance tops any other ball this year. Plays incredibly well in the wind with the new dimple pattern. All in all a 10/10 this year, much improved over last year and I can’t wait to get more.

I just wanted to add my experience with the 2021 ProV1 that I was fortunate enough to receive from Titleist last month.

I have been playing the ProV1 now for 9 years. Each year when the new ball is released I am excited to see the differences, but at the same time I am happy to know that I will still get the consistency I am used to.

I am lucky enough to have a flight scope launch monitor, so I was able to get some pretty cool data to compare the 2020 ball to the new 2021 ball. I also had a few balls from previous years as well, so I tested those in the same method just to compare the data to see how the ball has changed over the years.

For each club I tested, I hit 20 shots in alternating order with the 2020 and 2021 ball. I compared Ball Speed, Launch Angle, Spin, and apex

The results are pretty staggering, especially when comparing balls from 2012-2015. The new balls are just so much better. My results are the averages of the 10 shots from each club.

    Driver:
    2021 Ball
    Ball Speed: 162
    Launch: 14*
    Spin: 2532
    Apex: 30

    2020 Ball
    Ball Speed: 162
    Launch: 13*
    Spin: 2796
    Apex: 28

    5 Iron
    2021 Ball
    Ball Speed: 126
    Launch: 15.7*
    Spin: 4239
    Apex: 28

    2020 Ball
    Ball Speed: 124
    Launch: 16.1*
    Spin: 4469
    Apex: 28

    8 Iron
    2021 Ball
    Ball Speed: 113
    Launch: 19.9*
    Spin: 6532
    Apex: 29

    2020 Ball
    Ball Speed: 113
    Launch: 19.8*
    Spin: 6436
    Apex: 28

    52* Wedge
    2021 Ball
    Ball Speed: 101
    Launch: 29.1*
    Spin: 8840
    Apex: 29

    2020 Ball
    Ball Speed: 100
    Launch: 29.9*
    Spin: 8916
    Apex: 29

My data shows that the balls perform almost identical on the flight scope. I took them out on the course just to get an idea of how they play differently and how they feel. My normal gamer is the ProV1 yellow. So it was easy to tell them apart. I played 9 holes and 2 balls at the same time and hit from the same lie each time to try and get a good feel of how each would perform.

My overall impression is that the 2021 ball has a slightly softer feel off the face all the clubs.

It feels like it might spin just a little more off the driver than the previous ball. The new ball seems like it might launch just a little higher that the previous ball as it was hitting the top of the window on almost every strike. That being said it didn't feel like it was a super high spin that was getting the ball up, Maybe the lower compression just allows it to stay on the face a little longer and ride up a little to get more launch.

On the long Irons I couldn't tell a difference between the two balls. The flights and feels were identical in my opinion.

On the short irons and wedges is where I seemed to notice a little separation. The new ball with the higher launch definitely got up quick and seemed to land softer without excessive spin. On 3 identical shots I was able to carry the pin form 60 yards out and the new ball just stuck, where toe 2020 ball definitely has more spin on it. That could just be the strike, but the new ball sat much better.

On the green the new ball had a slightly softer feel, but not noticeable enough to call it truly different. Both balls performed admirable and rolled as true as I could stroke them.

In conclusion I am very happy with the new ball model. I'm glad its not a drastic departure from what I'm used to playing and the incremental changes are true improvements. Keep up the good work Titleist!

Thank you for reading and for including me in the testing.

Finally got my chance to play my white box proV1 (thanks TT!!!)
    Loving this ball
Ball flight is just a little bit lower than last years for me
Perfect feel off all full swing clubs, not too hard, not too soft
    Great spin off the wedges
And finally perfect click off the putter.

Well done, and thanks again TT!
  18. Thanks Titelist for the opportunity to test the new white box pro v balls. Today was the first chance to get out on the course with the new balls. These balls feel really good off all the clubs but off my Scotty they are great. Thanks again Titelist.
  19. I received my white box of Titleist golf balls. Living in Minnesota I was just able try the ball yesterday. As a reference I’m 71 and a low single digit handicap. I thought the ball flew a little farther than previous Pro V1x balls I’ve played. I felt the ball did not bite as much on pitch and chip shots. Mid Iron shots stopped better than previous models. I thought they rolled off the putter great. Overall I liked the ball.
  20. Received mine from the Titlest team and loved the new 2021 ProV1. Thank you for the opportunity to test these.
  21. Hello Titelist!!! I would first like to thank Titleist for the surprise golf balls to test them. I am sorry to reply this late I’m not familiar how to work on this site but glad I found this. I didn’t test them right away since it was very cold and temps were low. So I had the opportunity to test the new Prov1x ball yesterday and so far I am very pleased with the performance. It seems that I had some extra yards. I was surprised with feel when putting and chipping. But I can’t seem to tell the difference between Prov1 and the Prov1x. Thank you again for the surprise and was glad to give it a try to come back with the evaluation of the ball.
