  1. Almost 5 years ago to this day, two weeks after my 77th birthday, I holed my drive on the par 4 seventh at Birkdale GC in Huntersville, NC. That was the longest in the Carolinas that year and as of last year the longest the Carolina Golf Association had on record. It was my first and only ace. A Titleist ProV and luck can go a long way!
  2. Second shot Bethpage Black hole #9 off the tee ended up on the left side over the sand trap and needed a 15-20 yard draw to get around the trees to hit the green, hit 172 yard 7 iron just around the trees and bent it around and dropped it on the green for a 15 foot birdie putt

Do you have a shot that stands out as the best you've ever hit? Fill in the blank and let us know by adding a reply below...

For me, the best shot I hit in recent memory with my Pro V1x was a 2-footer for par on the 18th hole of The Old Course. While the shot itself wasn't anything spectacular, the culmination of that magical experience will be hard to beat for me.

Best shot I have ever hit with a Pro V1 was my only hole-in-one, and it was a par 4 309yd shot with the Kansas wind howling. Nothing will ever top that. Especially given the fact that 8 of my closest friends all stopped on the tee box to scout everyone's shots. The bar tab was huge that afternoon...
  4. Unlike many on this post thread, I've never had a hole in one but I have had 12 eagles on par 4s all of which were made with a Titleist ball, some predating the ProV1 era and all with my trusty, now somewhat rusty and worn out Hogan Apex blades. I put them aside and am now playing Grindworks MB1 irons. I think my favorite eagle on a par 4 is one I made on the 16th hole at Merion East (Driver, 8-iron). With a back hole location, it took a walk through the quarry and up to the green and the relief of the uneasy feeling of not seeing a ball on the green when I looked in the cup. Thanks for letting me reminisce a bit.
  5. Holed out for an eagle on the #6 handicap at Pleasant Valley Country Club. It was during the annual member guest tourney too!
  6. My lone hole in one. 152 yard 9 iron..Woodland Hills in Nacogdoches, TX. landed 10 feet or so right of pin and few yards long..draw spin of my shot and great Pro V1X sucked it back and left...fell in the cup. Best and worst part was I had 7 others to witness it.
  7. My very first hole-in-one (after 47 years of golf) was in 2019 using a Pro V1.

The best shot I've ever hit was on Hole #1 at Pebble Creek Country Club in College Station, Tx. Playing with my brother-in-law and 2 guys they put with us. I hit a 335 yard drive off the tee to the left side of the fairway. 163 yards to the hole over a wide concrete drainage ditch. Hit a 7-iron that took 2 hops and in the hole for a double-eagle! Love my Pro V1X!!!! Starting out 3 under on the 1st.......well, it just can't get better than that! And the look on my brother-in-law's face......priceless!!!!

I was playing in our city championship at Alvamar Golf Course in Lawrence Kansas. I was on the fourth hole which was a par three. The hole was 164 yards behind a pond. One of the worst places to set the pin for me. All I wanted to do was hit it solid and not to hit it in the pond. I swung and I noticed that the ball was going to be dry and land somewhere safe on the green. I reached down to grab my tee and the three people I was playing with started screaming and jumping up and down. It was a hole in one and I did not see it!!!

    I have two answers.

The purest shot I ever hit with my Pro V1 was on the 17th at Sawgrass. Caddy asked me what my 140 club was - Pitching Wedge I replied. I hit the purest shot of my life. Mid-flight he apologized. The ball tracked right down the back right flag stick, splash. I looked at my club - 9 iron. He apologized again saying, I didn't believe you.

The best shot was at the old South Seas Resort course, 8th hole. 98 yards across a channel. The Lady Chadwick was docked right next to the green, and packed for its sunset cruise. I landed it 3' past the hole, spun it back hitting the stick hard enough to pop out for a tap-in 2. Cheers from the top deck. My playing partner skulls it, hitting the Lady Chadwick square and sending that top deck scattering.

Love those Pro V1 wedge shots.
  12. The double eagle from the last fairway bunkers on the par 5 number 8 hole at the Crystal Lake Golf Club in McDonough, Georgia.

Beats the ace on the 7th hole at Cardinal Country Club in Kenly, Johnston County, NC in 1972.
  13. I suspect it has to be my only hole in 1 a couple of years ago. Better part was playing with my son as he had just had one the previous season in a touranment. I remember that and what bowling ball I tossed 300 games with (more than holes in one :) ) and while I've discarded a lot of them, those are also 'keepers' when retired. Now we both have holes in one and 300 games.
  14. I’ve had two holes in one with ProV1s, but the most notable was this latest one: the The Little Turtle Club had recently opened a new par three over water, from my tee 148 yards. I hit 6 iron and made the club’s first hole in one on that hole. That made it my third one (two with Pro V1) on three different holes on the front nine of our course. That’s a record that will never be equalled as one hole has been removed. They did not erect a small statue. In fact, it was one day before the official opening of the “insurance” pot so I didn’t receive the $600, which I wasn’t told until after the drinks started flowing. Definitely my most memorable shot.
  15. Best shot I ever hit was a hole in one on a 195-yard par three with an AP2 7 iron and a ProV1! Great day! I’ve been close many times on shorter holes, but that’s my only one.

I’ve made many Eagles on Par Fours but my best shot I had 180 yards into a Par 5 and hit a 8 iron in the hole for a 2 that’s and awesome feeling.

I hit a knock down pitching wedge from about 80 yards. I was using a ProV1x. It took a skip, stopped, and rolled back into the cup for an eagle. Luckily my playing partner saw it and said "That's the best I've ever seen-nice shot!
  18. Funny you should ask, 2 days ago hole 12 at The Ridge in Auburn Ca, 160 yd uphill par 3, 6 iron, pro V1 my first ACE!!
  19. 160 yard 6 iron out of rough, around tree, over bunker, over water with 20 yard draw inside 2 feet of hole.

A week before the epidemic closed down the US, I hit a 235 yd shot to within 2 feet for a tap-in birdie using a Titleist TS3 fairway wood and a Titleist ProV1 at the Club at Pine Forest, Summerville, SC. Still dream about it while I'm waiting for the Massachusetts courses to re-open.
