  1. All sounds good Abby, will I be able to try some please?

    cheers, Compton
  2. Played my 2019 Proto Red today. The cover definitely does not hold up to scratches/grooves as well as the past V1x

Sent me a pack and as soon as the weather in Ohio permits I will give them a try and give you my feed back.

In spite of the snow on the ground, I have had a chance to chip and putt with the new Pro Vx, and I can say I've been impressed with the feel and spin. Especially the spin with short chips and pitches. I prefer some action on the ball even with short chips so I can better control roll and height. With other balls they seem to either launch upwards or stay low with no feel either way. Not so with these new Pro Vx's. They just seem to respond better and seem to have a more neutral predisposition. You are in charge of what they do.

I also like the sonics of the ball. That is to say, that they have enough audio feedback to help you assess your success, and just the contact. Some balls are so soft that you don't really know what happened, and some are so hard that they provide no real feedback. I like what I'm hearing.

Now as soon as the snow melts here in Utah, I'll be anxious to test the full swings.

Tried the new V1 this weekend and I was thoroughly impressed. Higher and longer than previous PRO V1, but the real difference was durability. After several iron and wedge shots the ball did not show a single sign of wear. Good stuff.

Thanks to Phoenix area Titleist reps for ball fitting day at All About Golf in Tempe.
  7. Tried the prototype yesterday. First shot I hit it in the water and I learned that they don’t float oh r than that

Driver-longer and higher than my V1

Irons- this is where I noticed a big difference. Exploded of the face. Missed a lot of greens long. Made the adjustments in club selection. Held greens beautifully

Putting- didn’t notice much here but I’m a lousy putter...

Bottom line. I love this ball and can’t wait to get them

    Sincerely Tim H

    P.s.-work on that floating thing

I would love to be involved in the prototype testing and give some honest feedback. How do you get involved?

Hi gang, just a quick question: Is it too late to get a sleeve of Titleist Prototype balls? Would love to tee it up and see how they fly. Thank You in advance!

You’ll probably find that the prototypes from the OP are the new ProV1s and are available in every golf shop now.

A friend recently gave me a Titleist EXP 01. I figured it would be characteristically a hard feeling golf ball. I was amazed on how stable it was off driver and irons. I used to be a golf ball tester, but recently I haven't received and protos or samples. This golf ball was great into the wind and also carried well down wind. The ball when struck was a solid feel and very playable ball that will appeal to the masses. Keep up the great work Titleist R+D. This ball should be a home run!
