  1. It was a great preforming ball overall and I will surely use them when they are available. When will they hit the market?
  2. Hit my protos today.

Play in east tn. Weather went from 52 from start of round to 68 on 18.

Off the tee ball flies high for me, but they were long and straight. Seemed not to fade them bad today so may be the ball might have been me. The distance was great evem though it was cool.

On approach they flew high and long as well had good control and stopping ability.

Really loved pitch shots with them gad good control and.could check them when needed.

Putting wwas soft feel almist like tge old balata balls. Rolled smooth and felt solid but soft when putter made contact.

Overall i like them. Would like to have had them in warm weather as well to see if characteristics changed.

    Well done titleist.

Got my #2019Proto sleeve a few weeks ago, RED 1’s...have now used the whole sleeve, as both my only ball in a match, and also as comparison of the same shot between the old and the new proto...let’s just I can’t wait til they hit the shelves!

My experience highlights - hot off the tee for sure, less wayward spin. My long irons and mid irons were crisp off the face and maybe slightly straighter due to less rotation here also. Receptive as always in the green, solid shots stopped and spun appropriately. Short irons felt great, including a more penetrating ball flight than current ProV1X with Vokey wedges, literally felt like I had more control. Putter ‘crisp’ off the face, almost a more solid feel off the face of the Scotty than the current ProV1X.

No doubt - more durable, withstood several well struck wedge shots and didnt lose that new ball look or feel, that “tackiness” a new ProV1X has in your hand and off the club face. Did I say longer off the tee? 5-10 yards more than previous ProV1X side by side multiple times..

#2019Proto - can’t wait til I can buy some more.
  6. I have played 3 rounds with the Proto 19’s. WoW played in Florida for first 2 rounds. Shot 84 would have done better couldn’t putt. Second round was my low round of the year 79 ..Really like how soft they feel coming off driver and irons..Play third round in ILLinois it was 39 degrees when we started by the time we played the back 9 it warmed up to 45.. Shot 88 They seemed to play about one half a club shorter..If Titleist sell them I will purchase them..bikerjim

Had the chance to play the prototype a couple of days ago and found it to be quite similar to my PV1. Great feel on and around the greens, terrific spin with short irons and wedges. A higher ball flight overall which allowed for softer, less roll with mid to long irons. Same great feel and distance off the tee. Overall another great ball from Titleist!
  8. I typically play the Pro VX and I received a sleeve of the black prototype. I played a couple of rounds with them and loved them. I was able to hit slightly more consistent shots with the new golf balls on all of my swings.

The distance was slightly more than normal especially with the longer irons and driver. I was able to control the ball better on the long shots.

The durability and the feel of the golf ball was exceptional. I was very happy with the new prototype! #TeamTitleist #2019Proto
  9. I currently play the ProV1, cant wait for more of these balls. My irons feel like new clubs, better height, more distance and great stopping power on the greens. WELL DONE!
  10. Great proto ball. I recieved a sleeve of the black number and just got done playing 36 holes with it. Was amazed at the distance I got even tho the weather was cool(50 degrees). Can not wait to play them when it warms up again in the spring

I'm disappointed I wasn't chosen this time - my guess is the testing finished since the Tour guys are using them this week. But I understand there are now a lot more TT people from when I signed up a few years back.

I can't wait to purchase the new ball in the spring - I will always play Titleist!

still waiting on my sleeve of 2019 Titleist Proto golf balls, i cant wait to try them out! I hear exceptional things about their green side feel, as well as the softness to the outer core. Luckily this summer I had the pleasure of meeting the Team Titleist crew in person, we shot the video for the Whereabouts video for Long Island. We had a spectacular day at the prestigious, 'Laurel Links country club', with TT crew... Rick, Joe, Dave, and Shane Bacon showed myself and the others their unprovided attention. They were very warming and made me feel right at home, drones were flying and cameras were rolling... It was such a great experience to chat with people who share just as deep of a passion for this amazing brand. After the day was done, we all got together in the club house as the storms of Long Island came rumbling in over the course. We shared a couple beers and talked about equipment, to some of our favorite moments and experiences in golf. Rick was my initial contact for setting up my trip to Long Island that day, his team were super helpful such as Joe N. and Dave B. made me feel right at home, and shared with me some behind the scenes looks at what they were releasing during the U.S. Open! By the end of the day we all came to realize we shared many of the same passions and interests. What a phenomenal crew this brand has, or better worded...Family.

    Thank you Team Titleist!

Eager to hear and see the feedback of the TT community re: the 2019 Protos. The last update led to a switch for me from playing the Pro V1X to playing Pro V1. I've loved it for sure as I always preferred the feel of the Pro V1.

Hard to believe Titleist keeps finding ways to improve what is already far and away the best!

I wasn't lucky enough to receive any Prototypes this year, but I've heard they are an improvement.
  15. I received the 2019 Proto in black and they are great. They were smooth off the tee and seemed to go straighter than my normal ball flight. The had good feel off the irons and the putter. Really nice product. I just need to make sure I don’t loose these any time soon.
  16. Looking forward to see what the 2019 Proto brings...but I have to say, I am LOVING the AVX....Geaux Titleist! (Yes, the LSU Tigers are playing the Crimson Tide this evening.....one can hope.....)
  17. I was very excited to receive my sleeve of Proto19 Black in the mail. Good distance off the tee, higher ball flight on my irons, and nice soft feel putting. I was most impressed with the durability. I always seem to nick up my ProV-1 with my old Vokey wedges. This ball still looked new on the eighteenth green. I had my best round of the year ( 6 over 76); pretty happy for a 12 handicap. Loved the new ball - looking forward to playing it. Thank you Titleist for including me in your testing.
  18. Probably 5 yards longer than last years while maintaining all other features. The flight is slightly higher which I believe allows for the longer distance. Best feel of any ball ever off the putter!

I'm flattered to be part of the golf ball testing process, but its frustrating because the new prototypes always seem to arrive when the weather has turned cold. I don't get a fair chance to test the new balls until warmer weather, and by then my comments are probably useless since decisions will have already been made. I love the chance to try the prototypes, but if they got to me in warmer weather I could add my 2-cents to the opinions. thank you for the opportunity. George in Kansas City.

    Hi,

So, after receiving the email invitation, and sign up for the test balls....nothing. Even though I've received them in other years, and replied with feedback after using the prototypes, I guess there's some unknown criteria for receiving the 2019 version. I'm not sure why you'd send an invite if it wasn't really an invite.....
  21. Team Titleist Staff
    Hey Bill,

Thanks for the feedback. Apologies for any frustration and sorry your name didn't come up this time around. And of course, thank you for providing your input in the test panels that you have been a part of.

In terms of the selection criteria, each of our test panels vary in size and scope so we can't guarantee that everyone will be selected to participate in every test panel. However, we do our best to include as many Team Titleist members as possible in the different test panel opportunities as they arise.

We hope to have some more test panel opportunities in the near future and we'll certainly keep you on the list of potential participants.

    Thanks again for the feedback!

    Best,
    Mike
