Played my first Test ball today. It lasted 11 holes before hitting the water. Some initial thoughts: felt somewhat hotter off my Bullseye putter on the greens. From the tee and on approach shots into the greens, ball felt good, not hard, and good spin (especially for me). Didn't play well, but can't blame the ball for that. I'll put Test ball #2 into play tomorrow and keep evaluating.

I RECEIVED MINE TODAY ALSO. TOMORROW THE FIRST ONE GOES INTO PLAY ON THE FIRST TEE. SAFE SHOT SINCE THERE IS NO WATER UNTIL THE SECOND HOLE, AND THIRD AND FOURTH AND SIXTH AND SEVENTH AND NINTH. I WONDER WHAT WILL BE LEFT AFTER THE FRONT SIDE...

Just got mine today as well! taking them out for 18 on Friday! Judging from the material of the cover and the red number, I would have to think that the ones i received are prototype Pro V1x.
Can't wait to play these and give a full review!.
I have to say that it is little things like including amateurs like us in on the RD process is what continues to convince me that Titleist is the #1 BRAND in golf, not just the #1 BALL! Everything in my bag is Titleist, I just wish they made Titleist branded clothes (I know FJ is their apparel brand, but I prefer the Titelist name).

I got the sleeve of balls and put them to good use quickly. First thing I noticed was a much more durable cover. So we did the 50 foot drop test on concrete to compare. Good thing one of the pro's I work with also had some test balls, so we used hers. Slight scuffing on both balls, so we called it a draw. Then we went and hit a variety of shots on a few holes to see how each of us could move the ball around. Off the tee, we both noticed gains in distance of at least 10-15 yards against ProV1. Work ability was also much improved as I was able to hit a few draw shots, and that is next to impossible for me. With longer irons, I did notice we both were hitting it much higher than normal. ProV1 current model was a bit lower for these shots, and the test ball seemed to JUMP off the clubface and had high trajectory. Scoring irons were the same, high trajectory and work ability in buckets. As I hit it high normally, I am happy with this and want a large box of these test balls to keep playing with . Wedge play is not my strong suit, but these balls did have some spin and would check up when you needed them to check up. Very solid feel and another quality ball from Titleist. I cant wait to provide my official feedback for the panel.

Have not yet had a chance to put the test balls into play. Playing in a tournament this week so it will have to wait until next week. My partner in the tournament brought some of the test balls to play in his practice round so it will be interesting to hear his feedback.

I agree my vokey wedges did not eat up the cover as much, also they go much LONGERRRRR!

Got mine last week. Have 36 holes in with them. Still have the first one! Seem to be a little longer and a little more spin on the green. My first time getting anything to sample. Thanks Titleist.

I just got my 1st ever eagle today with the test ball..... WOW

Got mine last week played today shot 80. Little longer with all clubs. Lots of spin very little roll when hitting irons to greens. Lots of check up with wedges. Great feeling with putter. Love'em.
I played 18 on Tuesday with these "test" balls and thought the cover was a little bit firmer than Vi1. Performed well in all areas. distance seemed the same and stopped on the greens just fine. either stayed in its pitch mark or jumped a couple inches and stopped.
I played again yesterday and was "on" Started birdie, birdie, birdie then played normally and finished with 75. The "test" balls seemed almost the same as the ViX and I guess I am not a good enough player to tell the difference between these balls and other similar ones from Titleist.

Played "test round" yesterday. Comapared to the Pro V1x this ball feels softer (better) off the irons and putter. Distance appeared to be very similar. After the round the ball still appeared to be in great shape, with very little scuffs, etc.
If this ball comes to market I will be in line to buy !

Awesome!!! Hopefully I can be as fortunate soon!
There is a secret to my golf skills.. I have played for over 70 years. I took lots of lessons and went to several golf schools over the years. I had the kind of job that allowed for a lot of "customer golf." I have been retired and living in south Florida for the past 14 years and play 5 days a week, 52 weeks a year. I also have a wife that likes golf and plays with me 2 days a week, so there is never that conflict about "you're going to play golf again". I am lucky and hope to continue for a few more years, I hope. I got a pacemaker last December so my heart rate is now even and smooth as my putting stroke. God made golf to keep us happy and sane in our declining years-so enjoy and don't feel guilty. And best of all my index is under 7.....

Awsome Joel! You keep it going. May all your drives be straight and putts center cut.
God Bless.

Received my white sleeve yesterday and played at a pitch and putt 9 hole and played 18 at our local muni using all my clubs. This test ball is a really great ball! I played with it alongside a current ProV1X and the test balls feels a lot softer of the driver, more spin with the irons, and checks up very will with approaches and pitches. The ball test ball feels softer on the putter than the current ProV1x. The test ball also garnered an avg of 8 extra yards off the tee.
I got the ProV1 prototypes. Overall I thought they were very consistent with a little lower trajectory and definitely checked up a bit more than I was anticipating.
I also noticed they were a little more durable. On my course, the second hole is 325 yards so I always chew up the ball on the second shot, it was nice to be able to tee it up on #3 without a big scrape.
Thanks TT for the opportunity to try them out again! No better feeling then seeing a little box from Fairhaven!

Got mine today. Just in time for the weekend! Thanks Team Titleist!!!
Looks like we have 2 versions being tested as some folks got "Black" numbers and the ones I got had "red" numbers. Maybe ProV1 and ProV1x?

I'm teeing them up in the morning. I'm anxious to compare the Proto Type to my Pro V1x. What's the best way? Alternate between golf holes? Play the front with one the back with the other maybe? If I had a bucket of both on the range, I'd get a better feel.
Greg FWilmington, NC
David, I got a sleeve two years ago. I would hit two shots on each hole, using the test ball first on the odd holes and second on the even holes. Each day I compared it to different Titleist balls, then other brands, until I lost them. The test balls were longer and my friends could tell which ball I had hit from the distance. It was a great experience! I hope you enjoy playing the new balls.

Got mine in the mail last Tuesday. Used them all day Wed. and Thurs. How can I get more??? They are fantastic..

Got mines a couple days ago, I agree with most of the comments that you guys posted, this ball in comparison to the actual 1X brings a little less spin of the tee, specially experienced that with my 3 wood of the deck, that it didn't move sideways at all, what is great! as it brings an extra few yards.
Irons, the spin decreased a little bit as well, I saw my ball rolling a bit more than what it was expected but still controllable. With my wedges happened exactly the same, what it good because specially in full shots I have some crazy backspins that got decreased a little bit. Still get some great spin out of my short shots (60 yards and in) so almost perfect.
It feels even softer than the previous ball, what is even better and it has a fine durability, the ball after a round is still playable.
Overall a really good job with this ball that brings Titleist a step further as the #1 golf ball

Testing new golf balls against my Pro V1 today.
Playing Pro V1 on the front and the test ball on the back.
Thanks…Titleist for giving me the opportunity!
