I just had a round with it yesterday. My guess is that it is a ProV1 and not the ProV1X.

Excellent ball and I was impressed by it because I don't play the ProV1 much. Tremendous feel with all clubs but most noticeable around the greens and iron shots. Hitting this ball pure with a forged iron is just so nice. A really true ball flight with very little off-axis spin off driver and rest of clubs. Even slight mis-hits felt pretty good. Durability is decent for a tour ball.

Tested mine - really cool that you do this with us amateurs.  Would be really interesting to know something about the ball......is it really something different or some of your current balls?  I certainly thought it spins better than the ProV1 - but is that really accurate??

Played my test balls over the past few weeks. Really liked them. Seemed a bit firmer than the ProV1x I play now, also seemed to fly a bit higher. Putted very well and felt solid off the putter face.

Still hoping I have an opportunity to test them!  Since Teamining up with Golf Instructor Tony Day at GCI I have been deligently been working to switch entirely over to Titleist.

I thought side spin on the new prototypes was much less and made my draw more controllable, but these covers seemed a ton more durable than the Pro V1x's I normally play. Anyone else feel likewise?

I finally had a chance to try out the test balls this week.  Family health problems and crappy weather.

Anyway - the balls were nice.

The conditions were windy/breezy and between 55-60 degrees.

The balls were nice - felt very smooth.  Especially remember hitting a 6 iron that felt very solid but didn't overswing...175 to middle. Carried about 10-12 yards farther than expected - over back right of green.  Tough shot coming back (open face cut from in back of elevated green) - the ball checked-up much faster than expected as hitting from a good lie in the flat-rough ---- but the green was wind-swept and dry.

That action was more than I expected.  Very nice.

The dimple pattern looked like a V1x --- but feel around greens reminded me of v1.

    Well done Titleist.

Just played them. Love how they feel off the putter. Soft feel and lots of sping around the greens too. Miss-hit a bit and you can be in trouble off the tee. Seem longer with the irons and wedges. Kept going long on approach shots. Nice that Titleist includes us in there opinions.

Great program. My first time participating, and agree it is awesome that they do this. I'm curious, do you ever find out what you were sent, or is it just figuring out what it was as new balls are released?

    Thanks again Titleist!

Received mine a couple weeks ago, went out and shot my career low round 74! Shared the other two with my buddies, wish I could have them back. Wish I knew what they were so i can get some more.

The Golf Courses are now up and running in Phoenix Az. I was comparing the Test balls versus the ProV1's...The Test balls seemed to have a higher ball flight, which was an added feature for my game! Thanks you Team Titleist for including me in your testing program

One of the tough things about living in New England is that playing in the fall and spring means playing is cool to sometimes cold weather. But there is always a silver lining right ? Like when you receive a sleeve of prototype golf balls to test. I was fortunate enough to receive mine in time to do some testing in mild to hot weather. As I stated in my original report, the ball performed extremely well. Very soft yet durable. Excellent distance off the tee and exceptional spin around the green. I really really liked this ball. But now I've had the chance to also test it in cool to cold weather and I'm happy to report that this prototype ball still performs exceptionally well even in cold weather. Just to quantify the testing, cold in this case is start temps in the high 40's to low 50's and finish temps in the mid 50's to mid 60's. I was surprised, but also happy, to see that there was only negligible performance loss's due to the cold. While carry distance dropped off a bit, the ground being firmer made up for that with increased roll out. Spin off of the wedges seemed about the same. I really didn't notice any loss of distance or control. Putting was the same. So congrats to Titleist  on whatever ball this will be. It will certainly be a ball people can play with year round instead of having summer and winter balls.

Received my golf balls a month ago and finally found time to play them. They felt sweet, especially with the mid irons and around the green. Lost some distance but I am okay with that. Glad to see and know Titleist values us amateurs and appreciate our feedback and input. Thanks Titleist!
