Hughes Prevails in Playoff at RSM Classic

It took a few extra holes and an extra day, but it was well worth the wait for Titleist golf ball loyalist Mackenzie Hughes (Pro V1x) as he prevailed in a 4-man sudden death playoff to go wire-to-wire and notch his first career PGA TOUR victory at the RSM Classic.

After play was suspended for the night on Sunday, Hughes and his competitors got back to action early Monday morning to continue the playoff at the par-3 17th hole. Standing just off the green, Hughes rolled in an 18-foot par putt that ultimately sealed the win for the Canadian rookie.

Congratulations, Mackenzie!

TITLEIST BY THE NUMBERS

At the RSM Classic 112 players trusted a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball for their success. That's more than seven times the nearest competitor with 15 and more than all competitors combined.

Titleist was also the top choice in the hybrid (29) and irons (46) categories. Vokey Design Wedges topped the approach, sand and lob wedge (207) category and Scotty Cameron putters were the field favorite with 64 putters in play.
