  1. Do you / should you report fake clubs ?

I’ve seen a set of fake AP3 on FB buy and sell golf page.

Some obvious signs they are fake.. 1) very long Ferrells 2) tarnished finish , 3) shaft bands at the front rather than back etc

A few people have commented on the post with intent to buy

Would you publicly announce they were fake? Contact the seller? Or just leave it ?

I’ve questioned stuff previously and the buyer took offence and reported me so was put in FB jail for a while

  2. Definitely report it. Besides the copyright issues, some poor devil might be the recipient of these only to later find out that they are poor copies and has lost his hard earned money.

    Hi there Rhys

    use this link

    www.titleist.co.uk/.../report-counterfeit-product

If people don't buy these things and they get taken down, then there is nothing in it for the counterfeiters to benefit from and then there is not the attraction to do it.

    Good on you.

  4. I must admit I’ve always been one for calling these things out!
End of the day I wouldn’t want to see anyone else screwed over when they are gonna be spending good money on fakes

And I will admit I’ve got into many of arguments with sellers who literally won’t back down even when you can throw evidence straight at them as to why.

But in some circumstances I’ve have people be the opposite and thanked me as they didn’t realise they had been done over in the first place.

But hey not everyone appreciates a Good Samaritan…..haha
  5. Update

    Contacted the seller direct

Was met with a load of abuse

I guess he didn’t like me pointing out the obvious fake signs

What did you expect? for him to thank you for pointing out what he my or may not have already known?

The old adage buyer beware springs to mind, I bought a fairway wood off eBay that turned out to be counterfeit, the seller went ballistic when I contacted him to return it and get a refund.
  7. Least at the end of the day mate you know you did your bit! If people don’t want to listen or accept it that’s their problem
  8. I would report it, at least by doing that you could save some poor sod from buying fakes
