  1. Hi all, just looking for some opinions really and maybe some advice.

Currently playing 714 AP2s best irons I’ve used to date and well it’s gonna be a struggle to take them out. However been looking around and seen some great prices on some 716CBs, anyway previously had these in the bag/still bag? If so just some personal opinions on them and it anyone has a direct comparison from the ap2 to cb

    Cheers guys!!

I had the latest CB irons and they were a great club to play but I needed a bit more foregivnes so have just changed them for the new t200 irons which are fantastic !

I've just moved on from the 716 CB after just over two years to T100S.

The cb's are great irons, they feel really good and are quite forgiving but probably not as forgiving as your current AP2s. I'd try hitting a few before buying.

I currently play the 716cb and they are lovely irons, they have lots of feel and not quite as forgiving as some but they are a players iron. I can definitely recommend them.
  5. Just picked up the 620 CBs and they aren't as forgiving as the 718 ap2s I had before definitely a players iron for sure but do reward good ball striking

I have the 620CB and I went to them from the Titleist TMB 716(full set)
I absolutely love mine, I haven’t seen any less forgiveness but I do get more distance

I mixed between the CB's and AP2 lines for the past 7/8 years - loved the look and sound of the CB, but preferred the sole and forgiveness of the AP2 line - that all changed for me with the T100 / T100s - this had the CB looks and sound but offered more forgiveness on toe strikes. I would give them a demo.
  8. Yeah I have to say luckily through a contact I was able to have a go with a set of 620 CBs to compare to my ap2
They felt incredible I do have to say, they were carrying pretty much the same difference. However it’s the only time in my life I was getting 2-4 yards spin back from a 7 iron with the CBs that was with them now even in the x100 extremely impressed I have to say!
However the new ones just aren’t on the table at the minute, joys of 2 young kids I guess!
So yeah was looking at the 716 still, so I guess the hunt begins!

Had 3-pw 712mbs, then went split set cb/mb then got 716cb’s which were meant to have same moi as previous ap2 versions. To be honest preferred MB’s despite being an old fart off 11. Then went for t100’s. Solid, but imho, if had a choice would love feel of MB’s again..though aware distance consistency not great if off centre…I doubt cb’s will let you down but I found a halfway house best for split sets
  10. That’s fair enough mate to be fair the biggest issue I’m having is actually finding a set with x100 shafts in them!
Joys I guess of having to look for second hand!!
