Does anybody else on here regularly go up and help the green staff out at your course??

  2. El,
Nice to have you back on the forum...
We don't have Artisans or anything like at our club but we help out in various ways.
Several times a year we walk the course re-seeding divots and a couple of enthusiastic members run the Tree Committee. They plan, grow, plant, prune and maintain the trees and shrubs, working with the Green Committee and the Greens staff.

Like Tosh I'd gladly help out if asked as we have a small team. They were out watering at 1 am earlier this week.

I've suggested to management that we could do a reseeding day per month but as the course is being taken over they're not too bothered about the course condition for the current members.

With the Covid crisis I volunteered to help as a marshall/starter but no response. Even though we're only allowing 2 balls and buggies for single use there are often visitors who are not respecting these rules.

Year by year the number of green staff is getting less and less at my club,
so me and a few other members have been volunteering to help for free.
I love love it and it’s definitely helping the course and club out ️‍♂️
