Maintain your tempo

All great players may have different swings but they all have great and consistent Tempo's.

I think all us amateurs, all get aggressive, where we speed up or don't commit and slow it down to much.

My dad always used to say to me when I was a junior , if I had a bad day at the golf he would say to me have you tried taking a couple inches off your clubs trick ? So I can fit them in the bucket easier. lol

When putting long putts, stand close to the ball and practice swing backwards and forwards four or five times looking only at the hole. Then address the ball and swing the putter in exactly the same way. The technique made a massive difference to my distance control on long putts.

The old pro used to say, Douglas slow and easy.
