In my opinion the best ball is that of each individual.
My personal favourite was the velocity, simply because of price and not knowing much more naively, once I looked more into it, swing speed, expectations etc I stumbled upon my favourite............. nxt tour s. (Now tour soft) this just worked so well for me and I’ve got a bag full of them.

My favorite is the current Pro V1. I have played Titleist balls for many years and although I have strayed at times to suit my game, Pro V1's are always in my bag.

I remember using the balata's, they used too cut so easily but that was nearly over 30 years ago. I have played a lots of different Titleist balls since then.

I also always have a stash at home, I always buy the 4 for 3 deal but as I don't loose too many I seem to have excess, certainly this year. in fact I have not bought any this year.

Not necessarily the best but I remember an NXT Tour being one of the first balls I ever noticed as having a ‘soft’ feeling. Probably down to a combination of ball and my own ability / feel at the time. To be honest I think recent Pro V’s have been excellent and are my ball of choice. Personally I think all premium manufacturers make good premium balls now (possibly with exception of cally), it’s all about what works best for you.

I used to look forwards to being able to afford a sleeve of Professional 90s when I was a teenager. But I think that ball tech has come forwards so much in the last 25 years and today’s balls are far more durable - so I’d have to say the current ProV1X

My favourite is the AVX. Only used one a few times, having found it, but bagged first ever hole in one with it. Kept it but can't justify paying price for my level of play . Have played numerous of other brands over the years but always come back to Titleist as somehow just feels "right".

The Pro v1 is the best ball in my opinion as it is good at everything, but going back a few years I loved the Titleist Tour balata which you could get in either 90 or 100 compression. I used to only use them on par 3’s when I didn’t have much cash and they scuffed so easily. Ah happy days.
