  1. Once this lockdown is over with i am going to do a full bag fitting at the National Fitting Centre, i was fitted for a TS2 driver at a Titleist Thursday event last year and it's been incredible so i was just curious about what is involved in a full bag fitting (minus driver) Has anyone got any recent experiences good or bad that they'd like to share?

    Hi John

I went recently for new SM8’s and even though the weather wasn’t great I still had a superb fitting. I turned up a little early so ended up also checking my driver and 3 wood and tweaked my set up which has been a help.

I am also due to go back for a long iron/hybrid fit when all this is over. Can’t wait as it is in my opinion the best around especially if you are after just one brand.

Let’s hope this is over soon! Stay safe!

    Morning John.

I went to St Ive’s just before lockdown and I can promise you it really is a fantastic service.

From the moment you arrive your feel welcomed.

If you like your numbers your love the attention to detail on track Man and how it all fits in nicely with your fitting.

No stone will be left unturned, these fitters know there products.

I was blown away with the knowledge these guys knew.

I would say go there with a open mind and allow them to do there thing and make sure you ask the questions you want answering as this will help them also find the right products for you.

Also enjoy the range of Scotty’s! Plenty to see and if you ask nicely they will allow you to take them to the putting greens.

The Golf Course and fitting centre has a range and lovely clubhouse where you can get some food and drink and have a little look in the pro shop. They have some lovely FJ clothing and shoes.

    Enjoy.

I had a woods and irons fitting a few years ago with Daniel Friend at St. Ives...

It was thoroughly enjoyable, 'Tour Pro' for the day experience.

A full bag fitting is quite involved, I ended up hitting at least 250 balls, so make sure you're well fuelled / have a flask of coffee on the go!

Never looked back though, getting fit is imperative. Enjoy!

    Hi John

I have been a couple of times and on both occasions it was exceptional. The staff are really helpful and nothing is too much trouble. I am hoping to go back again later this year. Enjoy.

I had a full bag fitting with Daniel last year and as others have said you are treated so well in a great facility.

I went back for the TT day in September which was good fun too (especially as I was part of the winning team) and I got chatting to one of the other fitters about the weighting in my driver. We briefly tried some different weights and agreed that now i was used to the club it would be worth fully experimenting with the weights some more so I was planning to have a wood refit with them but obviously this is having to wait for the lockdown to end.
  7. The experience at St Ives is honestly incredible. They have all the gear together with ridiculous knowledge.
I went for a wedge fitting last year and was blown away with the process.

Enjoy it and like others have said ask lots of questions, they were happy to answer all of mine
