Hi Rhys, Not sure what clubs you currently play, but I think you're on the right track with considering either the 714 AP1's or AP2's. John's advice is also very sound -- go to your Titleist Fitting Centre or a certified Titleist Fitter and get fitted. They will be able to allow you to try the different shaft combinations with the various heads (AP1 vs. AP2). The Trackman will provide them with serious data feedback. Given your 10 HDCP, I'm pretty confident that they can fit you with AP2's in the appropriate shaft (if that is what you really prefer) or of course, the appropriately shafted AP1. I was a 12 HDCP when I bought my AP2's last October ... now playing to a 9 HDCP. I knew that the AP2's were the way to go for me as they represented the best step up from my previous clubs. I wanted the forged club (AP2) for the better feel and feedback. It has been extremely helpful to me in "grooving" my swing so far and any misses are not too bad at all distance wise (ie: mis-hits). The feedback from the forged has helped me improve my swing and my impact position much better as I am working to "re create" the feeling of the flush shot. Of course, I also work with a swing coach to keep tabs on my progress and to keep from straying too far into bad habits! Good luck Rhys... and yes, I must agree, Titleist is definitely the way to go! D.
