with so many dodgey websites opening up, how can we tell whether or not the new titleist 913s wood range are genuine or not? hardly any respectable dealers in the uk seem to have any clubs in stock? any help?

    Hi Craig,

The best way to ensure you are not buying fake products is to buy through an authorised Titleist stockist - you can find your nearest one at http://www.titleist.co.uk/find-a-golf-shop/

Another good way is to go and be custom fitted - either by your pro, by your nearest Titleist SureFit account or at the Titleist National Fitting Centre at Kings Acre.

The 913D2 and D3 drivers are at retail now and most Titleist stockists will have some in stock - although increasingly golfers are moving to being custom fitted to ensure optimum performance. The 913 fairways and hybrids will be available for fitting from 14 January and will ship to retail from 8 February.

    Hope that this helps.

  3. Hi I recently purchased a set of irons, titleist 710 mb with project 6.5 shafts from a pro in Cumbria . I was trying to register the clubs but there are no serial numbers in any of the irons. They are std length and lie. Not sure if they are real or fake. The pro's website is http://www.michaelnewton.myprogolfer.co.uk/

    Hi Karthik,

There would only be a serial number on a custom set of clubs, not on a stock set. You have bought through an authorised Titleist stockist, so should be a genuine set.

    Hope this helps.

  5. Hi Guys

I am just looking to authenticate a 913 D2 driver and hoped you could confirm its legitimacy.

As mentioned it's a 913 D2 10.5 degree driver head with the following serial number - 2246754.  I believe it was purchased in the US hence my hesitation about buying it.

Could you let me know if this head is a legitimate club.

    Thanks

    Tim

  6. Team Titleist Staff

    Hi Tim,

Authentication is difficult - especially if you are buying from a third party, rather than the original account that product was shipped to.

The number that you quoted is a US stock product reference and does relate to a RH 913D2 10.5 deg with a +Blue 62 stiff flex.

The challenge that we face is that just as the clubs can be copied, so can serial numbers - that is why it is important to know who you are buying from.

    Thanks

  7. Hi

I bought a set of Titleist CB's but not getting on with them at the moment. I'm looking to swap with another golfer who has your AP1's 4-PW. Project X rifle shafts 5.5 with standard length and lie, which I get on with. He states they have serial numbers on the clubs being 929549. I don't want to trade my genuine clubs for fakes and appreciate that from the serial number you cant verify authenticity but can you check the serial number to confirm they are UK clubs and the that the spec matches with what I described.

    many thanks

    Hi Luke,

Can you tell me if the AP1 irons are the original model, 710 or 712?

    Thanks

    Neil,

I was hoping you could check up on a set of irons I purchased a few months ago. They were ZM's. I have no doubts about their authenticity, but have no confirmation of the shafts that are in them as the decals and coding under the grip have been removed.

All the ferrules are coded, so I assume that these are a custom set so there should be details of the original shaft? The ferrule code is 469828 - any light you can shed on the shafts much appreciated.

Hi Fraser - haven't forgotten about this, but we need to restore some archived files to be able to search for that serial number, as it has cycled at least once on our system.

Please bear with me and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

    Thanks

    Hi Neil

I have just purchased a matched set of 910d2 and 910f and want to check the authenticity as they do show a serial number which i understand from earlier post's means they are a custom fit set?

The serial shown on both the 910d2 and the 910f are 853819

Both shafts also have serial numbers (with Titleist Certified Hologram stickers):

910d2: AJ662643 (slightly rubbed off but thats close)

    910f: AJ662462

    Cheers

    Hi Andy,

The records we keep relate to the serial numbers on the heads (853819). That serial number relates to a 910D2 9.5 deg with a Project X 6.5 with Multi Compound Blue grip and a 910F 15 deg Project X 6.5, same grip.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Neil

Thanks very much for you help and very prompt reply. As usual excellent customer service from Titleist.

That is exactly the spec they are so all good. Is there anyway I can register that they now belong to me or is there no need?

    Andy

    Hi Andy,

I believe you can register them on the website or you can simply update your profile on Team Titleist. The purpose of this is more to ensure that you have an accessible record of your specs in the future.

    Thanks

    Hi Fraser,

The serial number 469828 relates to a set of ZM irons, 3-P, Rifle 6.5 shafts, 0.5" longer, 1 deg strong, 1 deg up.

    Thanks

Thanks Neil really helpful to find this out, I knew they were +0.5 and was sure they were just a fraction stiffer than the 6.0's in my other set.

No idea that they were a degree strong tho.

Knowing the specs somehow gives me more confidence in knowing what i'm hitting.

  17. So. You mentioned earlier that clubs that are not custom may not have serial numbers. Just got a 913 d2 driver with no serial numbers. Is it fake or real?
  18. Neil

Thank you for copying me in about my request regarding my Titleist clubs. However, my request related to loft, lie and shaft on AP1's with serial number 929549 on the hosel  of each shaft (assume they are previous custom fits as they currently have project X 5.5 shafts in?)

Many thanks and await your response
