This winter, try something new. Go to Portugal - especially the Algarve - down south in PT and also near Lisbon. Rent a car or not. Several very reputable Tour operators, no where near as expensive as Ireland, Scotland, Bandon and comparable time spent travel.

Tons of fun golf courses, packages available including tournaments.Good weather

Good food, good very inexpensive "19th holes" nice friendly people, English spoken as Brits, Scots and Germans all vacation or season there.
