With a little research on google I found this article regarding this putter. Might help answer you question. If not you can always contact Scotty Cameron customer service below. Just click on their logo.

I would go to the source and ask Scotty customer service. They may be able to verify serial number?

Definitely a fake. The shaft is wrong, the sole plate screws look terrible, and the Newport 2+ stamping looks way too cramped.

Does anyone have any idea if this full cord Titleist grip is fake? Have seen pictures of others without the small white band at top and bottom

I believe it's fake. If you look in the archives, only the red cord grip has the white trim.

It does not match current stock. Could be an older Scotty model, even though it says Titleist. The crown indicates it is a Scotty. Do not see any crowns on the two current Scotty cord models. Some have broken bands, no bands and yours has solid. Of course those I saw were for clubs other than putters.

I’ve found a thread on golfwrx which seems to confirm it unfortunately. Seems quite common on eBay the cord model fakes doing their rounds.

    Thanks for the replies.

  11. Quickest way to determine a fake is to post pictures on Facebook on the Scotty Cameron page. The people on there will tell you right away what is legit.
  12. That’s a fake. Shaft band is wrong. Stamping is off.

The easiest way to spot a fake is if the price is too good to be true. You can’t be sure if you can’t trace the chain of custody back to the original purchaser. Which is virtually all clubs on eBay. Even large resellers like 3Balls get stuck with fakes.
