  1. Myself! Re-gripped my Scotty circa 62 No.3

Superstroke grips need a lot of tape. If you don't put a lot on they don't sit right at all, like you can feel a grip in the grip itself such a strange feeling.

I wrapped it a lot of layers and that pushes the inner material against the outer at which point this grip feels fantastic!

    Nice job!
Must be the quarantine. I'm stamping and painting wedges.

    Alex-

How long did it take you to regrip your putter? I was thinking about trying to change out my grip.

Nice work Greg. not sure if I am ready to stamp my wedges.
  4. About 20 minutes in total after getting everything ready.

Most time is spent taking the old grip and tape off.

Take care in putting the new tape on a smooth as you can
  5. Yeah just golf related stuff we can actually do
  6. I stopped regripping my own clubs when I realized I don’t like the mess. It’s too easy just to stop in at Golftown and let professionals do it for a reasonable price.
  7. I know Jordan Speith has a Super Stroke grip on his Scotty as do several other pros. However, I still think it’s just wrong.
  8. Haha I bought it second hand and it had a black, older version of this grip so got really used to it and now can't do without it.

It's just a lot more stable in my hands because of this style of grip. I don't like the massively thick versions they just don't work for me.

It sounds like you effectively moved all the "weight" towards the grip end by using all that tape which makes the putter feel light and throws off the balance of the putter.

SS only need one piece of 2" tape to go on correctly. If you want to fill that gap at the end of the grip where it meets the shaft, take a 2" wide x 3" long piece of tape and just wrap it around the shaft a couple of times.
