I have a Futura x7m dual balance putter @38 inches. I want to regrip at 36inches with a super stroke counter balance with .580 core.

Once I remove the grip, remove the weight in the shaft and cut it down 2 inches. Will the 0.580 core fit on this shaft?

Seen a lot of different posts on this topic but can’t find a definitive answer.
