I am in your camp, carbon steel only. The patina that develops after years of rolling in putts truly makes a carbon steel putter one of a kind.

After seeing your collection, I know what you mean and agree... Something about old sticks that looks sweet...

I agree with you. I also have more of the carbon steel putters in my collection. Always Buy the older Scottys when i see them.

I agree wholeheartedly. I have an appreciation for the technology modern putters, but they don't do it for me in terms of look and feel. They lack sex appeal. I am and always will prefer carbon steel with no inserts or weights. My first Cameron putter was a circa 62 no. 3 in charcoal mist. I like lighter too which I know most don't these days. My primary gamer, which is pictured, is 330G. I asked Scotty about bringing back a carbon line in late 2013 and he seemed surprised people might want that. I hold out hope, and think it is unlikely.

Yup 90% of my putters are carbon. Personally I prefer that softer feel, and don't mind the maintenance of taking care of it.

BUT, I believe it's the same reason "raw" wedges are not a stock option. I imagine to many people call up wanting a free replacement the second a touch oxidation starts, not knowing that raw wedges are meant to rust, and carbon will rust if your not diligent on up keep. Which is a total shame cuz carbon I believe bats SS, and copper putters, but that's all subjective.

I'm still using a Mil-Spec

I had a carbon steel TEI. It was gorgeous! But, you literally had to wipe it down with a special cloth impregnated with oil after every round. And, if you didn't it would start spotting immediately. And, if fertilizer sat on it for a day or two -- corrosion would start breaking out all over. Finally, I decided it was too much work. But, I still miss it!

I play Titleist through the rest of the bag, but I have finally given up hope that Scotty Cameron will ever make a putter for me again.

He knows exactly what I (and I think a lot of us) want - carbon steel, simple designs, modern head weights - you know, putters that vaguely resemble the ones used by most of his tour players. Sadly as a regular Joe I can't afford a $3500 for a 009, so I guess I'm stuck with inserts and gawdy dots if I want a Titleist product. :(

C'mon Scotty ... take pity on the common man! We may not be millionaires, but it doesn't mean we want the putter equivalent of a Honda Civic with tricked out exhaust, black lights and a 6 foot spoiler.
