Oil Can Putter

    I have an Oil Can Classics Newport putter that I have used for years. I recently replaced it with a Futura X7 and I love it. I was thinking of getting the Oil Can restored on the Scotty Cameron page. Has anyone had an Oil Can refinished and were you pleased with it?

    It depends on which oil can finish you want to have on your Newport. Originally, BOS did the oil can finish for Scotty. When they started to do the oil can finish themselves it looked a little different. I have restored a number of putters to original. I always send them off to BOS to have the original finish that would have come on the putter. BOS currently has my Newport. I am having it restored to the original Oil Can that it came with in 1997.

    The Custom Shop doesn't do oil can finish anymore
