I am considering acquiring a new GoLo 5 putter but have no Idea just how good it is. For example is it better than the X5 or other 2015 Scotty Cameron Putters?

Joshua, this is an interesting question since all the SC putters are good...however each golfer has his own preference which translates into what is good and what is not as good....but all the models you listed are good. I prefer the Golo 5 2015 model for myself and I also own the x5 along with other SC putters so I would recommend visiting a shop and trying out the different models to determine which is best for you!
Good Luck!

Totally agree with Chris on this.
I know a guy who had a BMW custom built for him in Germany with his own ideal gear ratios and everything. When he brought it back to the states, he hated driving it because the transmission would jerk really hard when it would shift. It would give him headaches from hitting his head on the headrest.
Never buy a new car without a test drive, or a putter without getting fitted. I mean, unless you are just going to leave it in the garage and look at it from time to time, then by all means, buy what you like.
Thanks.
Thanks for your advice.

I also agree with Chris. Everyone is different. I'm not sure you can say one Scotty is better than another. One may be better suited to your eyes and stroke path. I have a GoLo 5 but it is the least favorite Scotty I own. It is easy to line up my putts, but I cannot get the pace correct. I love my Studio Fastback 1.5! Similar look at address, but I roll more in with it than the GoLo 5.
Good luck. One can never have too many Scotty's in their collection!

I just purchased the 2015 GoLo 5. Very stable. I have a Squareback No. 1 which looks compact and I really love it. Scotty should reproduce it. I know they have the new Squareback but it does not look as compact as the previous one. Other than that I have the black head (glare free) GoLo and Newport 1.5 (recently sold).

I have the golo 5 dual balance and it is the most stable putter that I have ever had. But like the othe guys said you need to roll it for yourself to see if it fits your game

Joshua,
I have a GoLo 5 Dual Balance and absolutely love it... I got it this past May as a Birthday gift from my wife. The best advice I can give is work with a Titleist Certified Club Fitter if at all possible once you have narrowed your choices down to a couple of models to find out which model works best for you. When I purchased mine I worked with Gary Cressend at Augusta Country Club, the fitting took approximately 1 hour and it well worth the time spent. This is what it entailed.. He asked that I narrow my selection down to my top two putters, which in my case was the Futura X DB and the GoLo 5 DB. Going into the fitting in my mind I was convinced I would be purchasing the Futura X, however as the fitting progressed Gary noticed and pointed out that I was consistently hitting the line with GoLo 5 DB. Once I started paying better attention to that aspect of the fitting process I found that to be true as well.. That was the primary factor that sold me on the Golo 5 DB.. Once I had settled on the putter Gary spent the remaining time showing me some things improve my putting. The most important thing was the look from overhead when the putter is properly aligned. This view has taken a little time to get used to; with the 70° lie angle when the putter is properly aligned it appears slightly open to the line. Now that I have gotten used to it, and to putter in general with my speed control I can say without a doubt that my putting has improved significantly.. I hope this helps. Nickolas G.

Def try it for yourself Joshua - I just picked up a GoLo 5 MOTO Scotty and I couldn't be happier. I bought it at The Scotty Cameron Gallery in Encinitas, CA (http://www.scottycameron.com/gallery/) and as soon as I picked it up I couldn't put it down, it felt that good.
In case your interested, here are a few shots of my new baby - such a sweet putter!!! And me, very happy outside the Scotty Gallery in Encinitas, CA

I've got a GOLO 5 Dual Balance and found it has really helped my putting. It is very forgiving and the counterbalance helps keep the wrists out of it. Great alignment on it as well. Highly recommend to anyone considering it.
