  1. The 15th at Byron Bay is a dog leg Par 4, line of sight over the trees is 250m. You cannot see the green from the tee box. If you're short or left, it's out of bounds or In heavy wooded trees. Long over the green is wet in the ponds.

There's 3 large Pines, even though it's an elevated Tee Box, you need to get height and lots of it, not only to get over the trees but to also land on a 10m X 20m green and stop it before the bunkers and dams.

With the wind in the right direction ( slight 10-15kmh headwind) this is reachable safely. Outside of those conditions it's implausible.

So in July 2024 I smoked my 5 iron from the lower Tee Box (210m) it was beautiful off the club, sailed over the trees to the unknown. After a few minutes looking in Bunkers and rough, my playing partner walked up to the hole and found it in there !

Come 6 months later, I was at the top tee box and again smoked my 3 iron, 245m of pure beautiful shot, I felt it was going to be too long, again the playing partners played up and on, while I looked, I was about to call it lost while they putted out, they were both 'putt with flag in people' so as he went to collect his ball as he sank a 10m putt, he pulled the flag and discovered my ball in the hole as well

Imagine that, 2 hole in ones on a Par 4. Woohoo
