I was asked to meet a good friend of mine for lunch at our club to grab a bite to eat and then play 18 holes in celebration of his birthday. There were 4 of us in the group and we grabbed a bite and then hit the course. I wasn’t playing particularly well that day. In fact, after hole 17 my friend and I had already lost the front nine, the back nine, and overall. We got to the par 3 18th and decided to press everything on one hole, the very last hole. I got up to the tee and one of my buddies was cracking jokes so I stepped off (which I usually don’t do). I reset and then hit a nice draw towards the front of the green. It landed and rolled into the hole, just like a putt. It was glorious! It was 146 yards to the pin but playing 150 yards up hill. I hit an 8 iron. Also, hole 18 is right in front of the patio and clubhouse so there were about 20 people that witnessed the hole in one. What an amazing experience! You’ll see me celebrating with my Titleist hat on the 18th green!
