I am sadden by 1 player in one of the groups I play golf with (for fun) but apparently he has stepped on to hide my Plastic Titleist tees when they flip behind me or to the side. The only reason I know this is because I caught him using one the other day & he is a Cally, Taylor Made, Maxfli guy & usually has white tees, but none that say Titleist. I am down to 1 plastic tee & I have 6 TT wooded tees left out of the ones sent to me a year ago.

I am not sure how to approach this but I am positive he has taken some while on the tee box. A plastic tee shouldn't break & I can't believe I've lost 9 of them. To most this would be a petty thing but most don't play Titleist & understand what the brand is about & how they value all their players of their product & not just the pros..

Just a vent session, back to your original programming

  2. It’s like when the hole next to yours has a group who hits a wild one into your fairway and takes your ball. Them when you ask them if they did they get all defense and angry...bc they did and pride won’t let them apologize so you drop where you thought it landed and make a bogey! This may have happened to me recently (was a TT ball too!)

Had that happen 2 weeks ago and couldn't believe it when I seen his group looking more south of my ball but apparently he hit it further than his group thought he did, imagine that. Of course partially my fault for hitting toward his fairway/rough but I'm only human with a day job. Lol

I feel ya bud, respect for other ppls things is like lesson #1 in life and if this guy did swipe your tee, is it really worth potentially losing a friend/golf buddy over something like a golf tee? Tough call.

I would tell him that you use those tees but have run out and are looking to purchase more, ask him where he bought his.....if nothing else it would put a shot accress his bows.

I told the gentleman who he is actually a friend with (even though we've played together off and on for a couple of years as a group) what I noticed & I really don't care to play golf with him if he stoops that low to takes golf tees.

If he brings him I'll play (might not speak) & good idea on asking him where he got them so I can buy some. That will rattle his nerves.

Fine line between enjoying their use on the course and collecting for memories. Suggest you hold one or two back and play the rest.

I've already done that Dale. I put 2 back. My last plastic Titleist & 2 of my TT ones.

Next time he's in your group, have someone watch him when you hit;then if he tries to pull that stunt again you can call him on it. Guys like that just suck...plain and simple.

What is worth more a tee or a friend.....

A tee that doesn't steal is worth more than a "friend" who does..

He really isn't my friend. He is a friend of my friend that plays sometimes in our group. So in this case a Tee is. Lol

Sorry to hear about this. Sometimes the best thing is to talk about a situation and express your feelings. Doing it in a way that won’t hurt your friendship but let’s your playing partner know that they’ve hurt your feelings and something that is important to you. There’s nothing wrong with expressing yourself and getting it off your chest. If you bottle up those emotions of frustration it could potentially affect your ability to relax and focus on the course when your friend is around. Just my two cents for a fellow TT friend!

I'm not buying this "It's only a tee" thing. If that is how someone acts over a tee, then he's not much of a friend and can't be trusted. Couldn't he have just asked Darryl for a tee instead of being a sneak. If he's like that over a tee, what would he do for a towel or a bag tag. I say Darryl is right. Who needs people like that in your group.

That's my issue exactly, plus he is actually a friend of who I do play golf with & he joins us from time to time when my friend asks him to join us. I really don'y mind him until now. Lol

That sucks...and sorry to hear. To me integrity is highly valued. Personally I don't deal well with stuff like that and would discuss it with him. Depending how he answered/reacted would determine if I played with that person anymore. Is this person a "friend" or more of an "acquaintance"?

They are not sold. I received them at a Titleist event. Unfortunately I do not have anymore to give away.
