The strap pad should be wider at the top. That way it puts the most padding on your shoulder.

The strap is the same width all the way across. I'm pretty certain that the smaller straps go up top, after messing with it a bit today. Nice feature to have this single strap included- I think I'll use it that way at first, and store the backpack straps at home for a while. My course is hilly and winds through a neighborhood, it's not good for walking.

I have my clubs loaded cart-style, with the woods in the back and irons in front on a cart. The hybrid 5 works great for that, or you can flip them around and carry it while walking. It's almost like they designed it to work for both. ;)

Yep, think that's what they mean by "hybrid". The best combo between walking and riding or using a pull cart. Agree that the short end would be at the top as you would carry at an angle. I am a carry guy so i have the Players 4. Enjoy the bag and some good spring golf in Georgia.
