Tough decision on Vokey vs Scotty

    So I won a raffle for a set of Sm6 Vokey wedges or a new 2016 Scotty putter. I have a mixed set of wedges but hit them well and I love the high toe and open face I can get on my current wedge. I just got a new Newport Select 2.5 and put really well with it but a futura x7 was tempting to give me a heavier face balanced putter too. In the end I went with the wedges based on retail value and the fact that it'll be nice to have consistency but at the same time it would make a good father's day gift...

    I would go with the putter. You can get wedges anywhere at anytime. Just my 2 cents.

    You cannot go wrong with either. But a new matched set of SM6 wedges would look great in your bag. Personally, I would go with the wedges. You just got a new Newport putter and are putting well with it. Stay with it. Make sure you get fitted for the wedges to ensure that are the perfect fit...... cheers, Chuck.... the new wedges are awesome.... mine just arrived last weekend.....

    Coming from someone who has both, the 2016 Newport 2.5 and SM6s, I'd say you made the right choice. The Newport 2.5 is the best putter on the market so why not get some matching Vokeys.

    That was my though. I'm probably going to carry two sand wedges now just because my one now is high toe and I can pretty much open the face up flat to well past 60 degrees and get a solid shot and spin

    Nice raffle. The putter will at least retain its value. Still, a tough decision. Good luck and let us know what you decided on.
