Plastic or wood? I have come to really like the plastic ones with 6 fingers on them. How bout you?
Chris92009Ohio
I use basic wood...plastic is ok but maybe I am just old school...LOL

I guess I am a creature of habit, I use wood. Just don't like the feel of plastic. I don't have a good reason. Just like wood tees. There are white because they are easier to spot on the ground.

Normally, I like using wood tee's, I like the ones without the paint. I have paid for a small bag of plastic tee's, just to give them a go. But tossed the whole bag once I thought what a scratch might look like.

Zero friction plastic tee's.
Those aren't scratches they are racing stripes.

Like baseball, real men use wood.

I use to use only white painted tees, but when I upgraded my clubs a few years ago, I decided to stop. I was tired of cleaning the paint off the bottom. Now I use plastic or natural wood. I still have one or two plastic tees left from when I played Rhode Island Country Club a few years back. I'm not sure what brand they use, but they are the best tee I've ever used.

Very durable!

Unpainted wood, with the exception of my natural wood tees with FootJoy in black paint ( I only use those when showing off tee-hee)

Plastic, 3 prong tee's, a box of 40 has lasted me a few years. I normally add a box to online shopping to get me free shipping if i'm that close to it. Otherwise, I never buy new ones. I prefer the bright yellow or the orange, and i don't use them on par 3's, I usually pick a half broken one nearby for those holes.

Todd, where can those FJ tees be had?

Got them a few years ago when I went to the FJ facility "Shoe Box" back east.

Nice! I grabbed some of those as well, but I never used them. I only have a couple and didn't want to break them.

I will switch from time to time with what ever tee brings good luck to me!!!!

Plastic for certain.

My favorite tee design...Love it with the FJ Logo.

Unpainted wood.

I'll use plastic or wood as long as the tee is white or natural wood and it's long enough to tee the ball to the correct height. I'll pick up tees others leave and have collected so many that I'll probably never have to purchase tees in my lifetime.
John LCumming, GA
Whatever I grab out of my bag :)

I like the wooden tee's with the markers on them so I know how far to put them into the ground.
Paul PRochester, NY
I switched to the Zarma Champ Tee's last season. I like them a lot. However I do keep shorty wood tee's for par 3's and those Tee boxes that are like cement. The plastic won't go in very easy.
Travis WJacksonville, FL
I never really think about it, wood or plastic. I don't see or feel a difference in performance. I guess I prefer natural wood, not sure about the biodegradability of the plastic ones left on the course.
December 20, 2015 At 08:10 AM
Aliens will find them when doing archaeological digs on earth. They do make biodegradable plastic tees now (I think out of corn starch and other organic stuff). The corn starch or 100% bio tees are hard to find these days. I think Zero Friction still makes one. They do break less often than wood but not by much. Eco used to make them, but all I've seen from them lately are tees made of recycled stuff with biodegradable packaging.

Chris MGrindelwald,
For the driver I use the plastic ones, for woods and irons I use the wooden
Matt DMahwah, NJ
I usually go with the plain white wood. Even if I am looking down on a white plastic tee it just seems weird to me.
Sam RSwindon, Wiltshire
Wooden tees for me, not too fussed on colour as I always buy them in bulk off ebay by the 1000 so just depends whats on offer at the time!
Chris BMonroe, LA
i use whatever is free in the pro shop!!

I started using the "4 Yards More" plastic tees a couple of years ago. I call them my "forever tees" because I've yet to break one. I like the consistent height for my driver, which encourages an ascending blow. I don't know about the +4yds part of it, but these are the only tees I use anymore. I keep one in each of my golf bags. They are great for the range, too, because they tend to stay put, and are virtually unbreakable.

I use the durable plastic tees for any tee shot where I use driver, fairway woods, or hybrids. For iron or wedge shots, I use a wood tee.
Sawyer NixBelton, SC
I have a mixture of both and never ever have to buy tees. Less quality tees in my "practice bag" and better quality with my competition set.
