Wedge gaps for t300 irons 43 degree pw

    Generally, 4 to 6 degree gaps seem to work best for most but it is really a personal decision. What it the highest lofted wedge you would like to play (are comfortable playing)? How many wedges do you want to carry? I play T100 with a 46 degree PW. I have used a 50/56/62 spread for the last couple of years. This year I am going 50/56 (bent to 55) and 60. YMMV.

    I bent my 54 to 55 and play a 60 as well. I play the stock gap wedge at 59 degrees because I take full swings with it. Have 2 traditional “wedges” in the bag simplifies a lot for me.

    You probably want to stay 4-6 degrees apart in your gaps, so with a PW at 43, you could look at the set W at 48 degrees or you could get a 48 degree Vokey, then a 52 Gap and 56 Sand. At a 35 handicap, you might be better off going with the T300 W and then a Vokey 52 and 56. Another option would be the T300 W and W2, then you would only need a Vokey Sand Wedge (56 would be fine in that case).

    I play the T300 set and use the 48 degree gap wedge that matches the set. Then I go 54 and 58 Vokey sand and lob wedges. As a higher handicap player you will likely have better results with the T300 gap wedge than the Vokey gap wedge as you will likely be playing more full shots with this club where the T300 forgiveness may help. Still, it's a personal choice on which way you decide to go.

    You might check with the pro where you are playing. For the average high handicapper a 60* wedge is a very hard club to master. In working with the Titleist rep in our area at events, he recommends a 56.10S wedge, which is a good versatile wedge in and out of the sand. I play T300 irons and use the wedges that come with my set thru the 48* wedge and have a 52.08K then a 56.10S SM9. Golf should be fun, not a chore. Once your game improves and you get down to a single digit, a 60* might be something you want to consider. If you do not have a great short game your chances of chilly dipping or shanking that 60* will be pretty high. I have spoken with my fitter as well as the Titleist rep and Titleist fitting specialist in our area. It is nice to surround yourself with knowledgeable people who represent such a great brand.

    I, too, have the T300's and got the 48* gap wedge that was an option with the set. I also subscribe to the 4-6 degree philosophy mentioned here in my wedges and carry a 52 SM7 and 56 and 60 degree SM9s. Talk to your pro or get fitted. A fitting with a Titleist rep will definitely help determine what you need to improve your short game.

    The T300 48 does not have grind options and the Vokey 48 and 52 is F grind only. The more bounce the better for a high handicapper so the 52.12 and the 56.14 F would be my recommendation.

    F grind is a good starting point/all purpose for Vokey wedges. Other grinds are determined by consistent swing patterns.

    This might have to more with technique. Suggest with going to see your pro, before getting new wedges. If you get new wedges and keep doing the same thing? Went to a clinic on this Tuesday and learned a lot. Stopped hitting it fat by the end of the clinic. Worth it. Just my two cents worth. Common error with wedges.

    Definitely with 35 HCP the T300 gap wedge will be your better option. What you will lose in spin vs the Vokey you'll gain in forgiveness on bad strikes. Whether you go (GW,SW, LW) or (SW, LW) also depends on how many clubs you are under 14 total.

    T300 48* and 53* wedges to match the set. Forgiveness is not such a bad thing. The carry a 58* SM8 or SM9 Vokey.

    I play 718 AP1's, and go with this set up. PW is 43 degrees, the AP1 48 and 53 are forgiving on full shots and a 58.14 Vokey SM8 is a great wedge for bunker play, chips & pitches when loft is needed.

    Then all you need is a wedge for around the greens and green side bunkers. You could go 56 or 58 degrees. Stick with the F, D, or K grinds and at least 12 degrees of bounce on this wedge. Avoid the Vokeys with grinds of S, M, L, or T, as they will probably be less forgiving and harder to hit.

    I agree with Neil, T300 W and W2 and a 56* or 58* 12D or 14K.

    Do not get anything with an 08M, 04L, 04T on the bottom.

In the past, I’ve played them with Vokey 54 and 60 degree wedges, but this year I’m going with 52 and 56 wedges for a 4- degree gap. I’ve found I didn’t use my 60 degree that much, and, when I need more loft, I just open up my sand wedge a little.

    Have same set up. Gave my 60* away a few years ago after talking to my Titleist rep and went completely with the 52.08F and 56.10S. Am 76 years old and currently play to a 17 handicap. Play the wedges that came in my T300 set.

    I just bought the same set up after a Titleist fitting. The Titleist pro recommended 48*approach 52* gap 56*sand and a60* lob. I could not be happier. Anything from 140yds and I’m on target with the wedges. Best money spent.

    I’m a 20-25 handicap. When I got my t300s, I got the 48*. Couldn’t hit it.

    Got a sm9 50 to replace it and love it. Have a jaws full toe 54 and 60 too. When I need a new 54 I’ll probably go vokey 54.S.

    I just ordered new t300 irons after being fitt I ordered 48 and 54 sandwedge my fitter felt as old as I am I don’t need anything between 48and sandwedge.

    I have T200s with the 43 degree PW. I also bought the matching T200 48 degree GW. So in order to be consistent I had my Vokey 54 bent to 53 and carry a 58 giving me 5 degree gaps from PW-58

    I go 48-54. I only carry 12 clubs and have no need for a lob wedge as I can hit the 54 up a chimney when I need to
