I have been gaming a Stealth Plus with Ventus Velocore Black shaft. I came across a mint Titleist TSi2 with a Matte black Kuro Kage SFW 50g shaft. Couldnt pass on as the price was great. I have only had it a couple of days, hit on the driving range once and then went out tonight and played a few holes and hit side by side. I gotta say theTSi driver was unreal! Long and straight and unbelievably easy to hit. A mid to high baby draw, it was almost if it was swinging itself. When hit side by side they were both in the same ballpark in distance but my point is that the Stealth seems to be harder to swing. I felt i could swing away with the titleist and the club did the work. seemed more consistent. Now I am considering going back to titleist as i used to be all titleist a few years ago. Has anyone else played/hit these two side by side and what was your experience? I absolutely love the shaft (Kuro Kage)! Anyway i would love to hear your thoughts on my experience and dilemma.

I still play the TS2 driver with a Graphite Design AD XC. One of my golf buddies plays the Stealth and I've hit it several times and thought I was hitting it damn good. Last summer I went to a TM fitting at our local club just for comparison. Tried each head with several shafts, and hit some of those damn good too, at least I thought. Funny thing is that the fitter told me after reviewing all the numbers, that he couldn't find a combination that performed as good as my setup.
I just giggled and went on to play 18 the rest of the day.

Sorry. Haven’t swung a non-Titleist club since I owned a used Rocketbalz hybrid for a day. Maybe 3 days until I got it to FedEx.
  4. In general, I haven't heard great things about the Stealth and Stealth 2 lines. In fact, I know of several TM people last year that bought Stealth and then wanted to go back to their SIM 2. Sure they're long but they seem hard for many players to tame.

ok the Tsi2 has made the starting lineup! Gamed it Saturday and went 39-42. Lots of fairways. Cold and wet up here in the NW. Cannot wait for warmer/dryer weather. The accuracy was awesome. Club was easy to swing. Nice mid/high trajectory. Took the cash that day! TM Stealth is for sale. Glad to be back with Titleist!

My swing speed isn’t what it used to be (and it was never that great!), but I found that the Stealth just ‘fell out of the air’ for me. When I hit it well, it was great, but it just didn’t have the forgiveness I needed. The TSi/TSR lines give me a greater sense of confidence; knowing that off-center hits will still be playable. And the 2 year product cycle doesn’t make me feel obsolete every spring!!!

I swung by PGA Superstore a couple weeks back just to peruse and stumbled into the 'previously owned' club section. There were only 3 Titleist drivers (all older models) and there were probably 20-30 Stealths. Pretty telling I'd say.

Did not see a dilemma, Pal, welcome home. Sometimes the grass is just greener on the other side. =)
