AP3 Sounds "Loose"

    Hey Team,

    My Ap3 6 iron recently started to develop a rattling noise. It happens all the time now, thought it was a loose nameplate or something but doesn't seem to be that after further evaluation. It is very frustrating because I do feel it has jeopardized the club. Doesn't seem to hit as well. Have any of you experienced that and any suggestions on how to fix?

    Being that it is several generations ago model, you might take it to a club repair shop for evaluation. It might just be some loose epoxy but they would be able to tell for sure. We would just be guessing.

    Are you sure it's in the head? Could be something that got in the shaft, either thru the hole in the butt end or if some of the dried epoxy in the hosel broke off and is rattling around inside the shaft. If not, those are hollow-headed irons, so something could have come loose inside. Not really sure how or if that could even be fixed. Would have to take it to a shop that works on clubs and ask them.

    It could be a bit of epoxy broken loose in the shaft. A club repair person should be fix it.

    My 6iron as suddenly developed a load click off the face at impact it sounds like something as cracked but nothing is visible.
