T100 Loft Question

  1. Hi,

I currently play the 714 mb’s, but am thinking about upgrading to the T100. I like the mb loft setup (mainly because of the 47 degree pw since I have 52, 56, and 60 degree wedges, but I’m also happy with all my iron yardages).

If I order the T100 should I order them all 1 degree weak? Is there any reason why I shouldn’t do that? (Like if bending the metal changes the offset or something like that)

Also, when comparing the mb lofts to the T100, they are all 1 degree weaker except the 3, 4, and 5 iron are currently the same lofts. Does that mean I should only order the 6-pw 1 degree weaker or should I order the entire set 1 degree weaker? Does anyone know the reason for the difference in those gaps?

    Thanks, Kevin

If you are adding loft you will be reducing offset and adding bounce

Did some digging and I found this: For a 2* increase in loft, you should see the offset reduced by 1.5mm and 2* of bounce added.

If you are trying to maintain your yardages don't assume the T100 7 iron with 34* of loft will go the same distance as a 34*MB. They play around with CG all each model and if you deliver the club the same with both they may launch differently.

I know its a cop out answer - but I'd get fitted if I were you.
  3. I'd definitely go get fitted. But if you don't want to I personally think you shoulder order the irons as is and compare them with your current irons. Then after accessing if it's going too far for your liking get them bent weak. Sometimes getting them in the stock loft if it's not drastically different can bring little to no change in distance. If it's going too far find a club champion or a trusted fitter to test them all for proper gaps and get them bent to your liking.
  4. Got fitted and went with stock lofts on T100s and then for wedges went 50, 56, and 60. Decided that if I have a gap issue I can bend the 50 to 51 or 56 to 55. Thanks for input guys.
