Went by my favorite golf shop Wednesday on the way home from golfing to pickup some Prov1x left dash and saw one of the fitters working the loft/lie angles on a customers clubs. I suddenly realized that it has been too long since I had mine checked. We warm up on matts on Monday's and Tuesday's and that definitely can affect the lofts over a period of time. Have been having a little issue with my seven and nine iron, with the coming up short. Dropped them off and got a call later in the day. Most were off one degree and my seven and nine were off two degrees. In that I will be 76 tomorrow, I asked him about making them one degree stronger. He agreed that it could help me and that he would set all at their factory settings and then add one degree stronger. The lie needed no adjustment. I normally do this once a year, but our repair guy that grew be friends with had moved and just forgot. Something we all need to remember to do. Adding those two-three yards with the corrections and addition might be helpful. If I can get nine yards on the seven and nine, that is about what I felt I was loosing. Jamerson did a good job. My favorite Titleist account for a reason. David Ayres is the owner/lead fitter of the shop and really hires good instructors/fitters/repairmen. Definitely first class.
