Confused on wedge selection

    So I am almost ready to order a set of t-300 and wedges, but I don't know what to do with gapping since it is different than my current set. I am currently running a 45/PW, 50/AW, 56, and 60. It shows the stock wedges for the t-300 as 43/PW, 48/AW, and a 53. Do I just add a 58 on and call it a day. I don't want to end up with 5 wedges, but I am not really sure how I should be going about picking. I am open to going all Vokey wedges or some or even just 1 if need be. I will say that I primarily use my 56 for mostly everything as it is the one I trust the most from 100 yards. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

    I am playing T300 with the T300 48, and then Vokey 54 and 58. Even though there is 6 degrees between gap and sand, it does not create a problem for me. My 48 works good from 100 - 80 yards and the sand from 80 - 60 yards. I just adjust the swing. If you want to minimize those gaps, Vokey 52, 56, 60 would be the way to go. Do a fitting would be the best approach. Good luck.

    I have the T100s with the P at 44. Then I go Vokey 48, 53, 57.

    I don’t have gaps and feel I can still hit the high soft shot with the 57.

    A fitting will help. Remember they are just base numbers on the bottom and can be bent to a different number to get what you are looking to achieve.

    There will be a difference in the wedge profile of a T300 48 against a Vokey 48. The T300 will match the set with weighting though.

    I too play the (2019) T300 irons and from 100 to 80 yards I use my stock 48 degree iron. My other two wedged are SM9 52.08K and 56.10S. I use the 52 inside 80 yards and chipping around the green. The 56 for sand and pitching around the green and short shots. A fitting helped get dialed in. I am a senior golfer (75) and am very happy with these numbers.

    Talk to your fitter about your goals and types of courses you play. Then, measure your distances with the T300s and Vokeys. Disregard the lofts and fill in your yardages. Lofts are just a number and the player determines launch, length and spin differently than other players.

    Correction on my SM9 52.08 wedge. It is a "F" grind for our kind of playing conditions, not a K. Wish we had softer fairways and sand traps. I would be able to use my SM7 58.12D sometimes.

    I'm with TSmith on this. I have T100s but use Vokey SM8 at 48*/10, 54*/08 and 60*/04. I can always open up the face for more bounce. I find the Vokeys more versatile than any other wedges.
