TSI 3 - WHICH SHAFT ?

    So i have a choice between two TSI3 drivers, Smoke Black RDX or Smoke Yellow ... Need a lower to mid launch/spin.. what would you choose ?

    I have the Black Smoke in my TSi3, excellent shaft mid flight, lower spin. Best combo I have ever used

    Get to a fitter and let the monitor and flight decide for you!

    Neither. Both are extremely low launch, low spin shafts. Go get something that fits you.

    Ask your fitter. If you do not have one, get one and get on Trackman and see what the numbers say. Best advice.

    If I wasn't paying for it, I would take either one and swap the shaft for my Graphite Design.

    Seriously, that's a loaded question. No right answer without being properly fit.
    For what it's worth, they are both considered low launch/low spin. The Yellow is a counterbalanced shaft, and you should only consider that if it fits your swing. It either works for you or it doesn't.
    Also you need to look at weight & flex options.
    If you can't get a proper fitting, try to demo them and see what works best for your swing.

    I swing about 108 and put Hzrdus smoke x stuff. Took a bit to get use to swinging the x but the flight and feel is great. If I were to switch would go Ventus blue in a slightly softer profile.

    Just because it works for you, doesn't mean it works for everyone. Too many people "want" a shaft, instead of getting the "correct" shaft. GO GET FIT.

    A graphite design shaft was not my first choice because of the cost. Went with stock tensei blue in my TSi3. It worked well but just felt I was not getting good dispersion. Saved up some cash, went to a top rated fitter and tried a few exotic shafts Velacore, Oban, Accra etc. After a few shafts and surfeit adjustments went with a Graphite Design, VR, stiff-reg flex and it’s a fairway finder and added some yardage.

    Great shaft Manny. I was lucky enough to win a TS2 driver at a tournament 2 years ago so I decided to get fit for a shaft that works for me and spend the money on that. After several tries we did a blind test on a handful and my best performer was the Graphite Design VR, followed closely by the Ventus Blue. I little bit different swing but I could make either one work for me. Unfortunately I ended up buying both so it cost me a bunch anyways.

    Of course like everyone else stated go get fit. As you stated you “need a lower to mid launch” but honestly, it may not be what you need when you get fit. On the flip side, it could be exactly what you need but blindly picking a shaft without looking at data and more importantly getting a feel for different profiles/weights will only hurt you in the end. Why take that chance instead of going to see one of my fellow Titleist Fitting Specialist in your area. Good luck!
