I recently purchased a used but overall great condition T3 driver. I know it's no big deal and doesn't affect performance but the face of the driver has small pit marks, most likely from sand on balls at the range or grit.

Is there a way to remove these and not affect the look? I'm very OCD about my equipment and want it to look new always.

I would be reluctant to do anything on the face of the driver other than a deep cleaning. The face on newer drivers are very thin and doing anything to grind off imperfections might lead to the club being non-conforming and worse, cause the face to crack or cave in. Adding any artificial surface coating will also deem the club as no-conforming which I guess is not a problem as long as you do not use it in competition. I consider myself pretty OCD too but I know every driver, including my current TSi2 gets a bit more worn every time I use it. After all, its a "tool" and every tool in my garage that gets used has some wear marks on it. My advice would be to not look at it frequently and just concentrate on those beautiful drives down the middle of the fairway. Cheers!

Agree 100% with Dale- if it works relax and enjoy the results!!
  4. I have the TSi 4 and i have the same issue it sounds like. I am also OCD about keeping all my club faces clean and like new but after just one season of playing my new driver i am getting some white marks in the middle of the club face. I emailed customer support for Titleist to ask if this is common and all they told me was to ask the golf store i bought it from to take a look and see if it’s a warranty issue. The manager at the store took a look and laughed and said to just stop hitting it in the middle of the face and that it is just usual wear and tear from repeated hits. Obviously this wasn’t the answer i was looking for my nearly $600 club but that’s the best answer i have been able to find. At least in my case I can’t feel any difference in the texture of the ATI finish from the black areas to the white/shinny areas. I know this probably doesn’t help you in your situation but i guess what I’m saying is that you’re not the only one with this issue and for everything that I’ve been able to find there is no real fix.

Are you using white tees? Most of the marks on the face on my driver (tool) are from tees. Try natural finish or plastic tees. It is noticeable if the ground is hard and the ball contact is above the center - and generally breaking the tee. Mine usually come off with wet cloths and sometimes a little soap.

Thanks Dale. I'm going to leave well enough alone and enjoy the rest. I've done a deep cleaning and it seems to have "lightened" the blemishes. Hit 'em straight
  7. My TSi3 has them as well and most likely from range balls not properly cleaned as on course balls are usually clean.

or my club uses a lot of sand / seed to repair the craters other members think they are cool leaving. If there is a ball on the ground outside the ball box i may not have seen sand on it and hit it, causing the marks i believe.
