Titleist 917D2 head snapped off

  1. Hi, my driver head snqpped off only after the 3rd hit. Brought it from golftown in christmas and finally brought it to the range today the surfit still secure.

    Ouch!!! Being that is an older model, you probably got a demo that has been abused. Even though it's been 3 months, I would talk to them about making it right. If not you can go online and pick from a number off used shafts to fit it.

    Considering it's a 5+ year old club, likely gonna have to fork out money for a new shaft.

    I would go back to the store to see if they will get you a new shaft (and assist with removing the remainder of the SureFit). If the store is no help, then contact Titleist Customer Service.

    Jay: Considering that these clubs were released to the public around October 2016 I think this product is out of the warranty period. I think the responsibility would fall on the Golftown, if they have a warranty period. It has been over 90 days since the purchase. I would suggest have it reshafted. With respect.

    Acushnet Company warrants its Titleist products for a period of one year from the date of purchase against defects in materials or workmanship. Should your Titleist product fail to perform for either of the above reasons, we will at our option, repair it or replace it with an equivalent product at no charge. We ask that all parts of the product be returned to the repair department and that the product remain in original factory condition. Warranty claims presented without the original sales slip will be reviewed at our sole discretion. All products returned for warranty claims become the property of Acushnet Company.

    Acushnet Company will not be liable for any consequential or other damages arising from the use of this product or any delay in the performance of this warranty due to causes beyond the company’s control.
