Hi there, hoping to book a iron fitting ASAP. Looking for T100s. I am thinking of of adding either the AW or a vokey 50°. I will hopefully be trying both when fitting booked. Any thoughts? Mark.

I have a 50* T100, a 48* T100s and Vokey SM8 46* and 48* wedges. I like the Vokey clubs a lot more than the T100 ones. They aren't as long (for me and I have a loft and lie machine to check the lofts) but FAR more versatile.

    I really like the T100s.
  3. I have both and play the vokey.
  4. I am planning to compare both during my next fitting as well. I assume both will fly about the same distance, so it will come down to feel and spin for me. Curious what you end up with.

    I sold my t100s 44 and 48. I own 46, 50 sm8 and 54 58 sm7. Vokeys rule!

    now own sm7 54-8, sm8 46-10 50-08 & 60-04 ... my t100s 9 iron covers at times 125 to 150 yards

I play the Vokey for the vertical forgiveness and tighter dispersion. Then in a couple of years you can easily swap out your "scoring wedges" for another set while keeping the longer lasting irons as a properly gapped unit. 0.02.

The T100 gap wedge will give you better forgiveness, and at times, more distance (which isn't necessarily a good thing). The Vokey 50 gap wedge will likely give you better distance consistency and control. The Vokey is more of a muscleback IMO.

Last year, I went from playing AP2s with a Vokey SM7 50, 54 and 58 to T200s which included the 48* GW as part of the set. Within a few weeks I switched out the T200 gap wedge for an SM8 48.10F. Never looked back. Far more versatile for me.
  9. Mark,

I got fitted early last year and was able to test both same day... I would highly recommend this if possible.

Ended up going with the Vokey and the team helped me gap the system properly (may end up being part of the decision process).

I have T100s irons down to 9 and have my 9 bent 1* weak and then went 46* SM8 bent 1* strong, 52.12, 56.08, 60.14 to cover gaps and varying bounces / grinds.

I did put the same shaft in my 46 as my T100s and not the standard Wedge Flex.

    Hope this helps.

I stopped my T100S set at 44. My 48 is a Vokey and love it.

i have a 50* SM 8 and love it as my gap wedge. it allows me to control the trajectory better than a set wedge. but it really is personal preference.
