The CB is not very forgiving and the T100 is pretty accurate with a decent amount of forgiveness built in. Standing over them, you won't really see a difference. With so many Titleist Tour players in T100s and very few in CBs, I would lean towards T100. I am a 5 index myself and played AP2s up until last year, then switched to T200. However, I kind of miss the look and feel of my AP2s, so kinda wish I had gone with T100. That said, I get you wanting the clean look and feel of the CB, but the T100s look the same at address IMO, are about as accurate, and are played by many of the best in the game, which says a lot. Why make it harder on yourself? At the same time, I have to admit, I have loved the look of the CB since I started playing Titleist back in '09. Heck, I wanted to buy a set back then and I was a 13 index! Luckily, I was talked out of it.

I'd go with the T100 5-9 and the u-500 (4 iron) utility club. I haven't hit it, but I know people who have and I think it'll be more forgiving and more versatile off the tee when needed.

Why not get fit before you spend money and wind up with the wrong set of clubs... And then have to go back to the drawing board!

Actually I found the CD to be quite forgiving. If you were to do a blended set of the T100 and the CB, I would go in the opposite direction. Use the CB for the shorter clubs and the T100 for the longer. When I used CBs, it was in a blended set with MBs. The CB for the 5-6 and the MB for 7-P.

As Todd says, get to a fitter and have them help you figure it out. Don't toss $$$ away with a guess.

I would agree with what Todd T said, take the time to get fit between the 2. I have hit both through a fitting of the T100 and the CB. Numbers were the same for the most part but the CB went through the turf better for my swing characteristics. The CB will play more like a blade than the T100. Both are great heads it really boils down to what sets up best for your swing. I love my CBs. Also look at the U series irons. I have a U*510 4 iron and it's an amazing club.

I actually just got fitted for new irons and ended up in a combo set of 4-7 CB and 8-PW in MB. As others have mentioned here, if you are going to spend the money, go get fitted. I am a 7 index and went in thinking I was going to end up in the T100's, but hit the CB's much better than the T100's and had surprisingly good numbers with the MB's in shorter irons.

I just went with T100S 4-6i mb7i 2 deg strong
8-pw 620 mb +1 deg strong
I like the t100s...
But love the 620MB!!!!!

Played 712 AP2 ..then 716 AP2....now 718MB. I think a lot has to do with what you want to look down on and and how you feel about it. Personally, love the thin top line. Currently my 4 iron is 718CB, as do need the added help with long iron.
As to original questions CB vs T100....a little help is nice, but for me....if I make a bad swing, I don't want the club(s) to do all the work...rather get the feed back and let me know where the strike was....and work on that at the range to get better.

But since these are from 2018 I was thinking of another fitting and was thinking t100 again 1 degree strong which lands it somewhere between the t100 and t100s. We'll see how the fitting goes but in my opinion you can't go wrong with Titleist but get fitted...shift selection is key and I'm a good old dynamic gold x100 with golf pride tour wrap. Shaft and grip matter get fitted

Have played the cbs with kbs shafts since 714. Bought a set of t100s iron 6 months ago, same shafts. I get better results with the cbs. Maybe because I am so used to them. Don't see much difference in terms of forgiveness. I tend to hit the cbs higher, which is good for holding greens. Traded the t100s irons back in last week. Both are great irons and you can't go wrong with either set. Best of luck.

This maybe an unpopular opinion, but the 620cb was a step back in forgiveness over the 718 and 716 CB. Titleist said as much in that they dialed back the tungsten in the 620 CB to provide greater separation between the CB line and the T100. Again, per Titleist, the 716CB had almost the same MOI as the 714 AP2. The 718 had Tungsten weighting 3-7, while the 620 is only 3-5.

I'm not saying any of these are bad clubs, they are all nice and you can't go wrong with Titleist irons of any era! But in my humble opinion the 716CB or 718CB combines all the best things of the current T100 and 620CB in one package. I think the design changes to the 620cb were a mistake and took the product line in an unfortunate direction.

I would really like to know what are the Technology advances in the 712cb to the new t100 I currently play the 712cb DG S300b shafts PW-3 and haven't been able to part way's with them they have been such a good iron I got them when i was playing off 20 but ready to upgrade after 10 years playing these irons and haven't hit anything else yet what are people's recommendations I play off 5-6 now depending on the course rating but hit a solid ball I would appreciate what you guys think about the Tec advances thanks in advance
