  1. The website states the red shaft is high launching with high spin and the black shaft is mid high launch with medium spin. Just wanted to know how much higher the red launched then the black. I was fitted for the red shaft but with windy conditions always present not sure I can knock the ball down enough. Anyone have any thoughts.

I have the red in graphite. Have always struggled with hitting the high shot. Much better now but still can hit the low punch draw, no problem.

Agreed ... I was recently fitted for the AMT Red in steel (coming from the AMT Black) for my new T150 irons. I have always struggled hitting a higher ball as well. While I am hitting it higher now, it is not a moon shot by any stretch and I can still flight it down as necessary.

If you were fitted using both, you should know if the distance is worth getting the red. I struggle with height, so the red was a no-brainer, the flight was ideal for spin and launch angle. I'd otherwise be losing distance on calm days or with a tailwind.

I was fitted for a new set of T 300 with ami red regular shafts , after waiting 7 weeks , picked them up , got home and they are ami black regular . After checking my fitting i realize it was wrong . not sure what to do . hope they can fix it faster than seven weeks.

Did your fitter do the order incorrectly or did you make an error ordering yourself on-line after your fitting? If your fitter made the mistake, it's an easy fix to have him do a return and exchange to correct the error. If it was you, contact customer service and explain and see what they can do.
  7. Looking at getting a set of T 300 clubs. I hit the R300 Red shafts in a 7 iron and was consistently around 178-185 yards. My swing speed was in the low to mid 90's. Should I get the Black S300 shafts as opposed to the Red. Two or three of the guys helping me said they would recommend the Stiffer shaft with my swing speed. Not getting to hit the stiffer shaft, I am unsure of how to proceed. I am 52 years old and know that my swing is slower than it used to be, but don't want to get a stiff shaft and not enjoy it if swing speed continues to slow over the next 5-8 years.

Each of the red and black shafts have multiple flexes. Moving to a stiffer shaft may not result in moving to the black shaft.
Any of us can give you our personal observation that will have no bearing on how it will affect you. Flex is most important for dispersion. Too soft will have a wider dispersion. Too stiff will give too much or fade than desired.
A Titleist fitting location should be able to have you try both shafts and in other flexes as well. To make sure you are getting the best result.
There are launch and angle of descent that are ideal for your club/ball speed. If your fitting was more than demoing a rack model at a store, I’d trust the fitter.
  9. I have a slower swing speed. I have previously hit a driver 235-245 with an 89 mph driver swing. Been taking lessons and am hitting it more solid. Seems like more speed at impact the last 6-8 weeks. My Red, Regular flex, original T100 irons are sending the ball very high; Much more spin. If I get much more speed/spin at impact, I feel like I my ball flight might end put to be too high. 9-11 Handicap. Hope this helps. Definitely curious about AMT black in a Regular Flex. After all, they made AMT-black-regular for a reason.
